This has been brewing for a few years. Ever since the football team went 12-1 and got the Orange Bowl title the same year we won the National Championship in Basketball. However I think Lew Perkins made it pretty clear that any more incidents like this would not be tolerated.



Rumor has it that the Basketball team's Boot Camp started much earlier than usual and is a lot more intense than in the past. He doesn't mess around with these things.

Self is the MAN, that is clear! He definatly needs to lay the groundwork, because that guy is NOT indespensable, and they most likely can go all the way this year.

For those who haven't heard yet, there was a fight involving KU football and basketball players. Something really stupid is going on there, when the players from the two teams, BUT AT THE SAME SCHOOL, have to battle it out for turf, women, attention, ect. Does this BS go on at other schools?

Coach Self better get a handle on this Tyshon punk/thug/banger wannabe, cause these Jayhawks will be ranked #1 or #2 to start the season, will be the big favorites to win it all with the two brothers from Oklahoma coming in, but only for ONE YEAR!!!! So this is their window of opportunity, and they for sure do not need crap like this screwing it up!!!:salute!:

The student athletes definately embarrassed our University last week. I do believe the media made it worse than it was(and it was bad). Sounds like it was more the basketball team causing the problems than the football team. Tyshon Taylor should probably miss a couple of games for his behavior. But both coaches have addressed it so hopefully everyone moves forward in a positive way.

As far as the previous poster saying KU recruits "these kinds of players". What exactly do you mean? Lots of big time schools recruited these same players.
