Either, i'm still a little disappointed about the game, we really should have won it.

Either way Arizona is going down.
I don't know man...that Crick guy was beastin too. It seemed like it was just next man up for the D line over on Nebraska. Lucky for Texas, Colt McCoy just kept bouncing right back up.

Take McCoy out of the lineup and the longhorns would have won 7 games. Same goes for Tebow(as much as I hate him).

Since their is no clear cut leader McCoy will win it for more of his career wins and numbers.

I mean can you really point out one true favorite by now? I can't.
Serious hatred? I said what was true, Texas is lucky to have won. They got the ball on the 40, and then had a 15 yard penalty tacked on next play, that's about 35 extra yards than average. That's not to say that Nebraska isn't at fault for those mistakes.

I'm just not overly impressed with McCoy considering the level of talent he is surrounded by. His team has barely scraped by both OU and Texas A&M who are both 5 loss teams, not to mention his performance against OU was not impressive by any means.

No clear cut winner, eh? I would like to think that Mark Ingram's near 200 total yards against a top 3 defense such as Florida would say something.

Again, I don't have anything against UT. I will be rooting for them in the BCS title game.
      Go Huskers.

Come on, man. You seriously can't still be drinking that crap orange colored kool-aid after all this time. Texas was damn lucky to get out of that game alive. I did not think Texas would dominate that game, but I sure thought they would win by about a touchdown at least. There is a lot of time off between now and the NCG though, so a good time for them to try and work on the obvious o-line issues. That defense did come to play, though.

As far as my heisman vote, here is how I would cast it.

        1. Ndamukong Suh- I really don't think I need to explain this here. I can't even remember seeing a defensive player completely dominate a game like this man.

        2. Mark Ingram- Completely shredded the #1 ranked defense on the biggest stage of his life, and has had a pretty solid year all season long.

        3. Colt McCoy (vomit in mouth)- I can't stand this guy, but my hate for him is not Tebow-esque. Great player, career win record should hold some weight, but his year last year was much better on paper, and I was pretty surprised he didn't.

That's what good teams do, escape with a win. Nebraska probably gave the best defensive performance seen in college football in 25 years. Even though line was getting torn up, McCoy still found a way to punch it in.

And, Toby Gerhart should win the heisman. That man is a BEAST.

if i was a Texas fan i would be worried going into the national championship game, even though Nebraska has a dominate defense, they exposed Texas and shown how to make their offense one dimensional as long as you have a good defense to impose your will against them like Nebraska did most of the game.
They have GOT to come up with a QB next year, heck they have 7 QBs that will be returning on their roster, SURELY you would think ONE of them would be an improvement. They are the 102nd RAND OFFENSE in College Football, THAT ****E WILL NOT CUT IT!!!

And *** is with those abortion of a OPTION that Watson was trying to run??? To the SHORT side of the field??? Comeon man!

totally agree on every point but i think they need to scrap the west coast offense all together and go with something a little more college friendly.

the defense next year may not be as good and if the offense doesn't get better we may not win more than 7 games.

Maybe not as good, considering we're losing one of the best college football players ever in that respect, but we have the Pelini's coaching the defense. Remember how they made a 2003 defense rank in the top 10 when they had been mediocre at best in previous years? We have McNeil, Burkhead, Helu, Paul, and the whole OL save for one player returning. With Pelini at the reins, you better know that he won't let the offense get any worse.
                Go Huskers.

I think having more playmakers would help more than a different offensive system.

I think the Huskers are a little bit of team speed on offense away from being top ten contenders.

Unfortunately, that probably is the case, but then again no one last off season thought we'd do as good as we did this year, who knows for sure?

I still think the fact that we're loosing Suh will make our defense not as good, but Pelini coaching it is basically the X-factor. And, for next season we either need to find a new offensive coordinator, or Shawn Watson needs to work on his play calling.

the west coast offense is too complicated for college kids to learn in a shoirt amount of time, if it is going to be fully effective.

look at how long it takes some players in the NFL to pick up? i know the offense is dumbed down and simplified for the college game, but that is exactly my point.

i think as long as we can have a dominating defense, we don't need to have a super complicated offense. heck i would rather go back to the wishbone mixed in with a more balanced attack than this, but we would need to recruit for that type of personnel first of course.

i do believe that it is also the talent as you suggested but i still think a different offensive system needs to be in place for the college game.

Yes they are losing Suh, but they have a LOT of underclassmen coming back, some impressive Fresh. coming in who could see playing time, and a Jr. College trans. LB from Ft. Hays who is supposed to be a Monster. The Pelini boys will have a top ten D NO MATTER WHO the players are, its the Offense, QB in particular who could be the problem.
