The ball is in THEIR court now. Dr. Tom Osbourne has proposed a 2 for1 with them starting in 2015. YOU were the ones who are LOUDLY *****ING about no one wants to play us! Everyone is afraid of us. Well guess what? You got what you WANTED! Time to put their $ where their mouth is if you ask me!!!

Cannot wait for the EXCUSES to come rolling in why they cannot or will not play Nebraska! Should be RICH!

Sorry Axe, but they've beat teams better than Nebraska the last few years. Right now Boise State>Nebraska It's kinda like the Chargers vs. Broncos argument: Yeah Boise is better right now but Nebraska is obviously the better overall franchise.

Did you see what nebraska accomplished this year? In Pelinis 2nd year? With NO OFFENSE? With a QB who had an INJURY most of the season? Imagine if you can in 2015, with a couple of Big 12 titles under their belts, how much better they WILL BE!

I really wish Boise State would get a chance to join a BCS Conf. like the Pac 10. They deserve to prove themselves. Just like TCU should join the Big 12! Thats all we are EVER gonna hear, every year, theygo undefeated, only to get shut out of the big dance! Give them a chance to prove it!!!!

Why wait until 2015? That doesn't make sense. Atleast it guarantees that the talented sophomores BSU has right now will be gone.

I don't see how this is such a bold move.

Theyre scared probably. Kind of like how Florida doesnt want to play us until 2013. A year after our #1 recruiting class has graduated.

Because,I don't know this for sure, but USUALLY the schedules are done years in advance. Non-Confrence that is.

Let me phrase this ANOTHER way! Dont you agree with me, that it is WELL past time, that teams like BSU, TCU, Cinncinnatti, ect., either JOIN a bcs confrence like the PAC-10, Big 12, SEC, or Big-10, and play the same types of schedules they ALL play???

In these Confrences, all the teams like OU, USC, Ohio State, Florida, ect. They all play 4 Non Conf. games right? One game is usually a equal BCS confrence team of EQUAL strength or BETTER, another game is with a BCS Mid Level team of EQUAL strenth or WORSE, then usually two WEAKER lower level teams.

THEN. 8 games with in their own confrences, usually 4 within their respective divisions, and 4 on a rotating basis with the other division. THEN if they are fortunate enough, a Championship game with the other division winner.

NOW! You can sit here, along with a lot of other critics of this current system, and tell me, WITH A STRAIGHT FACE, that these teams like TCU/BSU/Cinncinnatti/ ECT. all play those types of schedules, with the same STRENGTH???

SO, all I am saying is, untill they scrap THIS current system, or they implement some type of a PLAYOFF, then NO, BSU?TCU and the Cinncinnattis of this world will NEVER be allowed, or deserve to win a CHAMPIONSHIP. Fair or unfair that is just the way it is.

I am just glad that Nebraskas' current AD is improving their NON CONF. schedule by wanting to play tems like BSU, and by 2015, Boise State, MIAMI & Southren Miss all in the same year!!!

UH, WHAT??? If they are good NOW, and want to be considered one of the BIG BOYS, why would they NOT be good in 2015??

And when did BSU ever have a #1 recruiting class?? Are we talking a Rivals ranking here or what?

We cant be too scared, over the last 3 years we've had the #2, #4 and #5 recruiting classes, and are the #1 so far this year... haha

I'd love to see Boise play Nebraska. I'm not so sure they'd be cool with a 2 and 1. They are a big enough program that a 1 and 1 would be fair. Maybe Nebraska could paint their field all red for the game to even it out??

On a sidnote, I REALLY like the way Shannon is turning the Hurricanes around. I have done a lot of reading on his background and he is a very standup kind of guy, who absolutly WILL NOT put up with any of their former the "U" gangland thuggery, and he is a good coach to boot.

All I hear from Boise State fans is that they're looking for quality opponents and no one will play them. Then they start squabbling about how much money they'll be paid.

I like him. He's done alot to turn us around recently.
Although some other fans want him gone because we arent immediately winning 11 games a year. Eh. Theres always some in every bunch.

                            Calm down there man, jeeesh!

I am really not interested in a heated discussion over this, but I will respond (in a calm manner) to a couple of the things you said.

                            1. Yes, I understand the schedule is done well in advance. However, NU did have an open spot for 2011 when all of this went down. Just for the record, BSU did not call NU out. They simply stated that one or two big programs from BCS conferences would not accept a challenge from them in 2011, even in their home stadium. BSU was willing to take a one and done. The media started putting pieces together and assumed it was Nebraska based upon teams that still had open dates in 2011. Ultimately, I think BSU will accept the challenge.

                            2. As far as moving into a more challenging conference, you're just plain wrong about TCU. The Mountain West is easily a top 4 or 5 football conference. The Mountain West is better than a couple of the BCS conferences (ACC and Big East).

BSU has tried to get into a better football conference. They have been courting the Mountain West for 3 years now, but what you need to understand is they can't move into another conference unless that conference offers an invite. Right now, the only two conferences that logistically make sense for BSU to move into are the Mountain West and the PAC-10. I just don't see the PAC-10 offering an invite, not until BSU adds atleast another 10,000 seats to its stadium.

Who cares about Nebraska. How about playing Florida, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, USC? Nebraska is another lame attempt at Boise trying to claim they play someone, when in reality they have 1, maybe 2 hard games a year. Put them in any of the major BCS conferences and see if they continue to go undefeated year in and year out. Not to mention, I'd like to see their gimmicky offense work year in, year out against better talent and better coaches. I believe they have great offense success against even the quality teams because nobody really sees that kind of offense in the BCS leagues, and probably catches players off guard. Let these DC's and players play against this every year and it will probably become less and less effective.
