Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I'm 5' 2" and about 110-112 lbs in high school. I want to play football so I can better understand some of the plays that go on with football. I know that Darren Sproles is short and so are a few other players in the NFL but even they are a lot bigger than I am. [Hope I put this in the right section, but I thought since it was football it was good enough to post.]
I'm decently strong, but I'm going to start lifting in the weight room. So can I do it?

You can do anything you set your mind to.
Conventionally though, yes, you are too small to play football.
How about the no cut policy? Your high school have it?
Well yeah, our school says you can't lose more than X % body fat (I think it's something like you can't go below 5% body fat) but other than that there aren't too many different teams unfortunately.

height and weight are only a small part of being a good player....can you run? catch? block? can you memorize a playbook? i know plenty of 6'3 220 guys that are horrible ball players

Run? I take too small steps. Catch? I have decent hands most of the time. I can memorize a playbook pretty well.
Yeah, but how many 112 lber high school football players do you know?

If you do play then the coaches will have you hit the weight room everyday for a few hours to build you up. The high school I went to our starting tailback was maybe 5'7 160lbs and he rushed for 2000 plus yards. The reason I say maybe is he was more like 5'6 but he was fast as hell. Basically if he got open field he would take to the house.
