He was the top prospect at DE on many mockers until the knee injury. It was hindering him his senior season. He was solid, but not as spectacular as his Junior season. Opinion is that he tried to come back to soon. But he did not re-injure it. He started to come on towards the end of his Senior season though.

As a Bear fan I am stoked that this draft was so deep, in conjunction with his injury he fell to us in the 4th. And at that point in the draft (the whole draft for that matter) everything is a gamble. Why not a take a chance on Woot?

He has a good shot of winning the job opposite of Peppers as well.

I always thought he played with pretty good power and strength at Northwestern. I think he may slide inside and play some DT as well.
