I don't believe our admission standards have anything to do with it because our gymnastic and wrestling programs are both in the PAC 10. Additionally, the majority of the PAC 10 schools have similar admission standards to BSU.
Ok. That makes sense. Like I said it was just something they said on College Gameday LIVE (not that they know what theyre talking about most of the time ).

Would BSU be willing to add on or even build a bigger stadium if they wanted to join the Pac10? I still think itd be better if they joined the MWC.

The MWC would be beyond ridiculous if they got Boise St.

If that happens then drop the Big East and add the MWC as a BCS conference. With Utah, BYU, TCU, BSU, and even AFA that would be a strong conference.
Yeah if BSU gets the invite, they will accept. Bleymaier has already stated numerous times that he has extended his interest in joining the MWC to the presidents of that conference.

it's WE who are waiting for the invite...

These Conf. realignments are GOING to happen, it's just WHEN no one knows. The $$$ is to strong for them not to!
I would personally love going to the PAC-10 more so than going to the MWC but since the PAC-10 has showed no signs of being interested in expanding, the MWC is the next logical choice. There have been suggestions that Boise could fit into either the Big East (which I think we would dominate immediately) or the Big 12 has even come up in discussions if realignments happened, however the MWC and PAC-10 are more logical geographically.

Actually that is already the plan that's been in the works since probably before our first Fiesta Bowl win. the first win gave us the funding to be able to build the new skyboxes (also i think the indoor practice facility came from that, but maybe from previous bowl wins).

i know they are planning on taking out the track and building a seperate track facility so that they can build seats down further and closer to the sidelines. and then they do plan on (i believe) closing off the end zones eventually.

i think the removal of the track is the first phase (actually 2nd i guess since we already built the skybox) in expanding the stadium.

*EDIT* oh i forgot. along with some of the loot from our first Fiesta win, another huge reason the skyboxes were built as due to the large amount of alumni association donations. our alumni association is ridiculous faithful. i only wish i was well enough off financially to say i could be one of those people.

Now the Big 12, or I should say the BIG TEXASS, and the little 11, are giving Nebraska and Mizzou untill next Friday to decide on the Big 10 offer, which when it happens, 6 of the remaining 10 teams allready have an unofficial invite to the PAC 10, kind of a dominoe effect.

LOTS of TUFF TALK from the Big 12 Commish last week!!!
        sigpicoh YEAH?

has there been more conclusive talks or at least decisions being made? at this point i just can't get myself to believe the PAC-10/BIG12 merger. HOWEVER, if it does happen, and remaining teams join the Big 10 (or is it the Big East?) then that will mean two BCS conferences go bye bye, leaving openings for the MWC to become one of the new BCS conferences.

i'll have to dig around for the article i read.

That is EXACTLY what could happen!!! We will know by this Friday. The ball is in Nebraskas court now.

The thing is though, the SEC would be forced to inrease its numbers if the Big 10 PAC 10 thing comes into reality.

You think they want to be left behind in the SUPERCONFRENCE race??
