There's a merger in the works. Nebraska and Mizzou are both expected to take the Big Ten's invitation.

Hey Baph what do you think of Oz's statements now? Seems like what he predicted back in 1995 is coming true in 2010, Texas is pretty much running the show now huh?

My guess is, after Friday if Nebraska accepts the Big 10 offer, Texas will have a GREAT EXCUSE to flee to the Pac Ten, and will make Neb. out to be the Villians in all of this!!!

The last invite PAC 10 invite is between Baylor and CU. CU will prob get it, but if they don't the MWC will try to lure them in.

The STRANGE thing is, remember when the PAC 10 wanted the Buffs in 1994, when it was first announced about the Big 8 and the old SWC merger? The Buffs turned them down then.

I remember that, but I also remember the thought on the refusal then was that CU was a top team in a better football conference in 94. Now they are middle of the road in football and could possibly have better in roads in recruiting being in the Pac-10. Who knows. One of the conspiracy theories I have heard is that the Pac-10 would love to have teams in different time zones to get better exposure TV wise. It's all about the money. But I will hate not playing big red every year. It is just a tradition I grew up with and hate that it's going away.

though i would love to see this, it will not happen. the PAC-10 wants the top 6 out of the BIG XII to create a 16 team conference. that doesn't include BSU.

we're still waiting on word from the Mountain West conference, who renigged on their invitation so they could wait and see what was going to happen with the other conferences. they wanted Colorado. they won't get them. they may have to come crawling back to us.

MWC would be great if boise's there, and well... also if fresno and nevada joined.

And they took the crap and gave it to wac.


Then that conference would get better recognition, and the strength of schedule would go up significantly for boise and the others.

i know, that's what i was talking about lol. actually i think it's pretty official at this point. Colorado already formally announced they accepted the invite.
