I figured out a great idea for a thread tonight. After every week of the season I will post this thread. It will be a discussion thread for what teams impressed/didn't impress you this week. It will also be a place for you to post your top 25 nationally ranked teams list (if you wish). It will be great to see where some teams stand here with everyone. Not everyone lives just in BIG XII, BIG 10, ACC, Pac 10, or SEC country so it will be great to see where teams are coming from. Let's see what is on your mind after week 1 of NCAA Football!

If you held a gun to my head, I'd have to say TCU impressed the most. They beat a very good Oregon St. team. I would have said LSU, but they almost gave back a 20 point lead to North Carolina.
Should be a very good game tonight between Boise St. and Virginia Tech.sigpic

Obviously Oregon was impressive, and Harris for Miami looked really good while he
played.
USC's defense is garbage and Florida didnt look so hot either.Club Leader: Robert Griffin III > Andrew Luck

well teams that didn't impress:
Florida. Ole Miss. Kansas. USC.
the first and last of that list: if Miami (OH) hadn't shot themselves in the foot they would have upset. if Hawaii had any sort of Defense, USC would have lost.
impressed:
TCU... somewhat. was hoping Oregon State would win.
didn't get to see many games this weekend. oh uh... South Carolina taking Southern Miss to school.
Toledo started strong against Arizona but Arizona rocked them.
both Boise State and VT look impressive but their play in certain areas was disappointing.sigpic

Really? They were taken to the brink by the 24th team in the nation. Had Oregon not botched that snap there's a good chance they would have sent it to overtime.
TCU is a good team, but they aren't the 6th best team in the nation.
And IMO, same goes for Boise. They're good, but not #3. They were handed a ton of points by a myriad of mistakes from VT.Comment

i have to say i was so impressed by north carolina. now lsu didnt exactly play to their potential, but you've got to remember NC was missing 13, yes 13 of their starters to ncaa violations. 6 on the defensive line and their 2 star WR's. they played to the death against lsu with some kids who never expected to see the field this year. they were two dropped passes from taking the game. and yates threw for over 400 yards. :thumb:
now dont get me started on florida. i puked a little in my mouthComment

if you're gonna use that tactic than VT didn't deserve #10 (which many doubted anyway).
we also had more turnovers as well. we played terribly and still won.sigpic
