The ranks are out, in Oregon is now the number 1 team with Boise at 2.

In here is where things get crazy.
Fans are going nuts about Oregon & BSU being ranked higher than Auburn, which is at the 3rd spot.

If everything plays out with BSU & Oregon undefeated, we might have these 2 in the championship game.
Just like how having the Rangers in the world series is good for baseball, having BSU in the title game is big for college football.

If BSU makes it, this could be BCS way to stop the wish for playoffs, but at the same time, people who are pro-playoff, will use it as a example to say we need a playoff.

I'm not BSU fan, but I think & hope they make it to the title game and win it.

I really don't care much for Auburn, yeah there good but who did they beat other than LSU?
The same can be said for BSU, but there a non-BCS team whom beat 2 BCS teams. Oregon has being playing good football, in just like with BSU, they should be in the title game. Just don't lose, seeing how every team at 1 has lost every week since Bama.

Do you guys think Auburn is the best team, or is there another team who should be a top?
What are y'alls opinion on Oregon & BSU?

Auburn would beat either one of those teams, but I'm not sure Auburn will get out of the SEC West to even play for the SEC championship.

If Auburn does that, it's strength of schedule in the computer will continue to go up, while BSU's goes down (BSU doesn't play anybody the rest of the season, and the teams it has played will continue to rack up losess).

So in a sense, I think Auburn controls its destiny.

Are we doing italics in this thread?

      Lol, no.

I have a addiction of putting my post in italics.

the BCS Poll doesn't come out until this evening. We didn't move anywhere. I'm willing to bet Auburn will be #2 in the only poll that matters from now on.

i wouldn't put money on that. Oregon, maybe... but Oregon and Auburn are finesse teams with mobile QBs. Boise State has a tough and physical defense who has proven o'er and o'er again this season that we can stop powerful running games coupled with mobile QBs (see VT).

Hawaii and Nevada are close to becoming ranked again. if both of those teams hop into the Top 25 and stay there until we play them... bye bye to your theory about our schedule weakening. now i'm saying that as a big IF. but if that does happen, that gives Boise State 4 ranked opponents. that's about the average in the so called "power conferences" as well.

Nope... Auburn wouldn't be able to run aganst Bosie, they've been shutting down top RBs all year. And Mobile QBs have never been able to succeed against Boise. Masoli, Taylor, Kapernick, Katz, etc. Cam Newton is a just a more complete version of Terrelle Pryor. As long as Nevada, Hawaii, and Oregon State, gets ranked again, which is likely, then no one can complain about BSU's schedule. Not to mention if VT keeps playing at a high level. I'm betting Auburn jumps to #1, Oregon #2, and Boise stays at #3, for the time being. Oregon's defense will get exposed by USC, and I won't be surprised if they lose that game.

I'm curious to see where MU moves to if we beat Nebraska on on the road
            next week.

I think they could jump TCU.

Just as I've predicted. And I've also predicted Oregon's defense will get man handeled by USC.

i think you're confusing the AP and Coach's Polls with the BCS Poll.

i'm actually not surprised that Auburn jumped both of us. Oregon hasn't played anyone. yes yes, i know that's silly coming from a fan of a non-AQ team but quite frankly, BSU has played a tougher schedule than Oregon. we all know that. since the "s.o.s." is based on the rankings, that is truth.

Why isn't Notre Dame in the top 5 yet?

                        This is effing outrageous....

Yeah I'm defintley happy with Auburn at #1, they've earned it. Oregon's schedule is worse than BSU's overall. People only overlook their easy schedule because they're in the PAC-10.

They did beat a good Stanford team. Who is ranked higher than VT... I think both TCU and BSU are getting screwed though. It should be, in my opinion, Oregon, Boise, TCU

VT was ranked higher than Stanford when Boise beat them. I think the rankings are fair though..

Auburn, Oregon, BSU. Although I think we should be over Oregon, but they're fair overall.
