Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I was off on the game because Miles was there in 05, I guess I need to research instead of relying on my clouded memory bank!
Regardless, I rarely blame a coach and I'll have to find the game his team blew for LSU, but this isn't his first time!!
Not taking anything away from Auburn especially that defense in the 2nd half! Oh well, it has no effect on me but I bet there are some people in the state of Alabama that want his hide regardless of the NC last year!!
I liked Saban at LSU but he did another choke job in a big game with a big lead like in 05 against Tennessee! With the lead Bama had, I'm shocked but Auburn is a hell of a team and it would be ashamed for college football if the allegations are found true and they have to forfeit!! The only thing stopping Auburn or would have stopped Auburn from going undefeated and winning the NCG is or will be the SEC/NCAA!! Oregon is on their knees praying

Cam Newton made some really good throws yesterday 3 TD 0 int is what it is ...
Watching the game yesterday Bama's defense was not going to let him run and they paid for it by the pass ... I thought Bama's defense was frustrating Newton so bad he was breaking down on technique for a large portion of the game but he certainly came through .... I don't know if any team or QB yesterday would have kept the Tide from rolling in that situation ...
Wasn't they down 24 points at one time against Bama on the road .... Not very good odds ....
I know it's pretty much a message board but someone at Tigerforums said next week they'll be laying the hammer to Newton and the Tigers (got to see it to believe it), but wouldn't that be something after the game yesterday. That was one hell of a game!!

I think they have -- for Cecil Newton, it's been theorized that they walked into his church and put cash in the collection plate.
All they know for sure is shortly after his commitment to Auburn, the long sought-after building renovation happened.
and yet a non for profit still has to account for every penny. even if it was an anonymous donation, the fact that a down and out church had a 6 digit donation is a paper trail. so sad that bad decisions are going to destroy the career of a great talent.
Haven't these programs/players/agents figured out a way to get away with this stuff in the digital age yet?
You'd think a nice written letter that you could burn would be the easiest way. Use cash only, "misplace" recipts. Multi-million dollar programs havent figured out how to fool the NCAA, really?
It's never gonna go away, fame and fortune is the name of the game...

really tho only top notch criminals and the filthy rich know how to hide that kind of money. ordinary people just arent as savvy. and im assuming a preacher and his son have no clue how to buck the system. even if it was cash, how does one hide six digits?

This Miami Herald story makes it more plausible to me that MSU is the one putting out the information on Newton -- it seems they think Newton had all but made a deal to follow Dan Mullen to MSU, then got greedy and bought off by Auburn.
It makes sense that there would be some bitterness if MSU believes it got snaked with money from Auburn. I couldn't understand why UF, in such a terrible year, would waste time trying to trash Newton.
Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was facing possible expulsion from the University of Florida for academic cheating when he transferred to junior college in the spring of 2009, FoxSports.com reported on Monday.
So, wait, Mississippi State couldn't afford to pay Newton, so they decided to blow the whistle? This is hilarious. Then Urban Meyer says "oh, we didn't leak any students personal information"
Some people just can't handle it when someone has success and it's not with them.

Reports of recorded phone conversations, Cam and his father discussing "pay for play"
Two sources who recruit for Mississippi State said that Cecil Newton and his son, quarterback Cam Newton, admitted in separate phone conversations to a pay-for-play plan.
Your right about how the Pac 10 distributes the revenue to each of the teams as you posted previously and USC could lose money because of the penalty but the money lost will not hurt USC this is not Appalachia State were talking about ...
These articles are little out of date ... This first one is just sports
maybe i should have been more specific. regardless of what the school takes in the ATHLETIC programs will suffer due to the sanctions by the ncaa. especially the football program. i guess what really gets me riled is that the persons who did all the shady dealings were not penalized. and they are the ones making big bucks personally in the nfl. well ok reggie had to give back his heisman trophy, but he still knows he won it. personally i think they should be sued by usc and have to pay the university for the damage.
