i don't even know what to do with myself right now. i'm raging but i'm too numb to feel it.

there was a reason i was concerned about going INTO Nevada so late in the year etc.

well you shouldn't have been concerned... its not like nevada played outstanding... boise just didn't show up... plus got very unlucky like 8 times at least.

we played poorly. we didn't tackle or wrap up where we needed to, especially with chances to get Colin way behind the l.o.s.

but above ALL of that, the two things that upset me most is the terrible, terrible call on the "interfering with the punt returner" or whatever that gave Nevada the ball back that led to Colin's diving TD... the returner clearly lost the ball before he was hit. should've been BSU ball in the red zone.

second call was the most obvious pass interference+face mask i think i've seen in a long time on Titus Young that the refs somehow missed.

no, these are not excuses... there is no excuse for that terrible of officiating.

other than that... it's all on Boise's poor play tonight. we did not look like #4 out there AT ALL. did we deserve to be #4? you bet we did. but a RANKED team came in and played to the end, took advantage of our plethora of mistakes and came away with an upset.

not the first time this has happened in college football. not even the first time this season.

I'm not ready to say Nevada deserved the win, but Boise State sure didn't.

Well, being the #4 team, you had to have a 30 point lead by the time all that bad officiating happened... had you played to half of your potential you would have won by 10...


I'm not going to buy Nevada stock, and i'm not selling boise stock... this was just a "what just happened" game.

also to Sparky, at least you get to play teams like ucla, usc, cal, etc on a yearly basis... you don't realize how hard it is to get games like that in these conferences... or maybe you do, but don't know the feeling of finally playing a good team and stuff...

I'm sick; I can't believe Kyle missed from the middle of the field at 26 yards. You could see the terror in his face before he kicked though. That's really sad. Oh well, Boise's O should have had much more urgency in the second half. They put way too much on their D.

You can cry about the penalties all you want, but the fact of the matter is that you had a 26 yard field goal to win regardless of how bad the refs were "screwing" you over.

As for me, I'm not ready to admit Nevada is great now. I'm ready to say "Told you so" on Boise State's overratedness.

nice attempt making a situation up. anyone who saw the play I was talking about could tell plainly that Titus was both interfered with and personally fouled by having his face-mask grabbed. Also the ball was completely catchable. i don't know what 25 yard overthrow you're talking about.

but let's say your little made up scenario is true. even if Titus draws offensive PI (oh by the way there was a Nevada offensive PI that wasn't called so i guess they're even), the facemask is worse...if not off-setting. either way there should have been laundry on the field on that play and there wasn't.

also you OBVIOUSLY didn't read any part of my post except the part about TWO penalties that were blatantly obviously the wrong call because i clearly said the team played poorly and there was no excuse for how bad we played.

also losing to a ranked team: i don't see how that screams overrated. Nevada is ranked for a reason, just as Boise is ranked for a reason. lower ranked teams upset higher ranked teams almost on a weekly basis.

might i remind you THREE #1 teams fell three weeks in a row but NO BODY said anything about them being overrated. in fact some still said Alabama was still the best team in the country. LOL.

I never expected Boise in the NC game. I was really looking forward to the Rose Bowl however.

That was a really bitter loss. You should never miss a 26 yard FG from the middle of the field. He wasn't even dealing with a hash mark!

At the end of the day I feel bad for the kid. He's from the town I live in. He went to Meridian High School where my son will be going. He's probably been a fan of the Broncos since he was a kid. This has to be really hard for him.
