Peterson only gets those huge numbers because the D has to consintrate so much on Jason White and the passing game. He also has the best O line in the NCAA.

Yes, Peterson is good, but Heisman, are you crazy?!?!

WTF, who named Adrian Peterson player of the game, what the hell were they smokeing.

He had 130 yards, but no TDs. Petserson is soo overated. HE can do nothing and still be called the greatest RB in Collage Football. He is a good RB, but not as good as all these people make him out to be. He may be good later, but he is not even close to Heisman material. If anything he is hurting our team because Jason White is not getting the ball enogh. Jason White easily should have been the player of the game. 4TD passes and over 240 yards.

He was running into a brick wall. It was a very impressive 130 yards today. No holes to speak of. He will be the first running back picked 3 years from now when he is eligibile. Unless he gets a serious injury of course. If you can't see is incredible talent, you are either blind or biased.

no, I see his incredible potential, and I konw he will be getting a Heisman in his career. He is going to be one of the great RBs ever. But he isnt yet. He is complletly overhyped. He isnt Heisman material yet. He is overshadowing our great passing game and takeing away Whites passes. Befor we had Peterson we were easily scoreing 50 points a game, but now were giveing him 36 freaken caries a game and White only 20.

Are you telling me that those 130 yards were more immpresive than Jason White's 240 yaards and 4 TDs that won us that game?
Peterson couldnt even run in the first half. He is our future, but right now Jason White is our offense.

Adrian is still getting the ball is stiuations we should be passing it. Yes, the more he runs it the less White gets beat up, but our O has been haveing too many 3 and outs because we run the ball every down.

Anyways. If AD is a Heisman canidate now, then next year, with a year of experience and more goaling carries (since he wont have a great QB to thorw it into the endzone) He will most definatly have a HUGE chance at winning a heisman

This is how I see it

Last year, Jason White wins Heisman

This Year, White becomes second play ever to win 2 Heismans

Next Year, OU becomaes first school to get 3 Heisman winners in a row with Adrian Peterson becomeing the first non Senior to win the award

Year After, Adrian wins a second Heisman and OU becomes the ultimate football dynasty!!!

lol, its not how many points you are ave a game, it is wether you are winning and losing. Last years OU team that was throwing all over the place would have lost at KSU Saturday. You know why? Because they would have brought the heat and OU's drives would ahve been all or nothing taking no time. With Peterson they are able to control the clock and settle down and control momentum. And win tough games on the road when they aren't playing there best football. Just like Saturday, they were not playing there best football, but took control of the game with a cool 106 on the ground in the 2nd half.

and we wouldn't have had to get back o track if our first 2 drivees werent 3 and out because we ran it 4 out of 6 plays and Moses droped a perfect Jason White pass.

I still think we need to pass the ball and get some points on the board. Im not saying give up on the running game, but we have gone from one extream to another. A good medium, remember Q and Hyble, Griffin was only 1 yard up on Hyble for the intire season

Seto...I think you're being way to hard on him. I think he is as good as advertised. The problem the last couple of games early on is the other teams are stacking the box. OU's lack of production is more the result of conservative play calling than Peterson's ability. If you really watch him, you'll see how good he is. He's running over D-1 college seniors and shucking them to the ground like they're little kids on the playground. He's good enough to warrant some Heisman consideration, but everyone should really wait till the season's end to see who really deserves the trophy.
