Ah, yes. The TCU/Boise State conspiracy rears its ugly head. Perhaps Wisconsin has something to say about competing for a national championship. We'll see.Comment

There is no conspiracy... truth is most marketing teams like OSU and Auburn can get away with anything, as if they didn't, it would fair bad for the NCAA as far as money goes. Had a QB like Andy Dalton did what Pryor and the rest of them did, he wouldn't even be playing in the bowl game.Comment

I think the Badgers (the way they were playing) would have been the most dangerous team in a playoff system.
I think they beat TCU by 10 or more.
But on topic, I hope Arkansas beats the crap out OSU now, just to make things fair.
I mean they can't give TP2 another ring prize to sell away!Comment

The thing I do like about the BCS is that it matters what you do ALL season. You can look at Nascar. Most of the races don't matter. Just get into that "playoff" and you're okay. Wisconsin might be able to beat Auburn or Oregon. I don't know. But is it fair if that last game is the one that they lose? The Giants won one game over the Patriots. But does that prove that the Giants are undoubtly better? Some may think. But the BCS makes you stay perfect. A playoff system will put less emphasis on each regular season game.Comment

You're dreaming if you think Pryor should be playing in the bowl game. Cam Newton walking away freely with no consequences at all? LOL... Like I said, had that been any other team out there, they all would've been out of the bowl game. Not OSU, Auburn, Oregon, etc. There's always that "little" exception for those teams.Last edited by Amari24; 12-29-2010, 08:03 PM.Comment

You mean a five game suspension that isn't taking place until next season??

Is the punishment biased? Perhaps. We can't say with any certainty. In Newton's case, you'd have to be dreaming to think that there aren't numerous players/families around the country doing the same thing. Newton was highlighted, because the situation was made public by disgruntled parties at a time of their convenience.
You may get your pound of flesh though. Tressel can still sit Pryor and Herron for the Sugar Bowl. Feretz just benched his leading rusher before the Insight Bowl. He may have set a precedent.Comment
