Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.
--Broncos Country Message Board Staff
There was a QB in 2009 that against SEC defenses (much better than pac 10 defenses) completed 67.8 percent of his passes and threw for 2895 yards 21td's and 5 interceptions that a lot of people tend to forget about too.
He also rushed for 910 yards and 14 more rushing td's.
For a his career as a passer he put up 9,285 yards, averaged a 66.45 completion percentage and 88 passing td's with only 19 int's.
His career rushing totals were 2947 total yards and 57 rushing td's. If you were to include his rushing td's in his td to int ratio (which I realize you normally wouldn't) thats 145:19 oh yea and he never had a fumble lost.
But hey his stats aren't that impressive because he's already a Bronco right? (not completely directed at you cahill more just the thoughts of this board in general, I have no idea what you feel about tebow.)

Well said.
This fanbase has got to be the most spoiled and flip flopping bunch out of all 32 teams when it comes to the QB position. Just wow lol.
Enough with the Luck nonsense. We got our guy, now lets move on for a damn change and just maybe, if we don't screw up the draft and FO signings, we'll actually have a shot at getting back to being a contender before 2020.

Sad thing is I really don't think people really look at his stats and see just how impressive it really is... Luck has had one good year against pac 10 defenses. Tebow had multiple good years against SEC defenses and 2 championships and a heisman trophy as college QB's go he was beyond impressive and yet everyone overlooks that because he isn't a "prototypical passer"

I can live with people overlooking the championships and the heisman trophy, but like you said, we're talking SEC defenses here and he still had stats like that. That stands out to me.
You pretty much nailed it with the "prototypical passer". Too many people have bought into the bs tag he's been getting by analysts. It's ridiculous. Since when did one have to be a prototypical passer to be great in this league anyway? Rivers is anything but a prototypical passer and he's doing mighty fine if you ask me. So Tebow is a lefty? So was Steve Young. This is all bs to me.
Fact is, Tebow has been pretty damn impressive in his 3 starts thus far and sure, his completions could be better but he's a damn rookie.

Rivers, Vick, Marino, Young, Elway, McNabb, Randall Cunningham, Steve McNair, Warren Moon. None of those guys are "prototypical passers" by the Tom Brady/Payton Manning measuring stick all qb's seem to be messured by these days but all have had or are having success...None of them (except maybe vick and Rivers and possibly young) received anywhere near the guff Tebow gets yet all are QB's if I had to start from scratch and build a franchise with I would have picked in their respective era's.
It's the "I get my information from espn" mentality aka Media Speak Machine that annoys me, if espn/nfl network ect...says it, it's fact end of story...If player a is "can't miss" draft him...if you draft the guy who they say will never make it we'll all mock and riddicule you.

QFT
I try to ignore it but sometimes it gets to you, all the bs I mean. I'm just looking forward to the draft being over so everyone can unite and get back to supporting this team.. it's a mess on here atm.
