  • Andrew Luck on display in upcoming Orange Bowl

A matchup between two blue-collar teams awaits in the Discover Orange Bowl on Monday night from South Florida. Virginia Tech has been in BCS games before.

WHO TO WATCH: Stanford sophomore quarterback Andrew Luck. It's not a surprise he is the player to watch. His two-year totals are incredible -- 5,626 yards and 41 touchdowns with 11 interceptions in 24 career games. In his past seven games, Luck has completed 76 percent of his passes for 1,792 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The next mark sanchez...one year wonder highly touted by fans and experts alike who has one good season to his name against some of the weakest defenses in college football....

He's the one the Media Speak Machine has decided to tout as the annual "best QB to come out in the last 10 years" for the 2011 draft, this years "must have" or some garbage like that.

What happens if he stinks up the joint or gets injured like Colt McCoy? Worth taking the chance with the 2nd pick in the draft if Carolina doesn't want him? LMAO!

I'll be watching..and I don't really watch college football. I want to see what the pundits have their panties in a knot about.

Just watch the kid play. Have you ever actually watched a Stanford game? Just because the kid is hyped up in the media doesn't mean that he has formed his opinion based off of what the media has told him. Maybe he's actually formed his own opinion from watching Stanford play just as I have.

You guys can say what about Stanford and their schedule. I've heard about this guy that came out of Stanford back in the day who played QB. He was one hell of a player, eventually played in five Super Bowls. But while in college, he had a losing record and didn't even make it to one bowl game. His name? John Elway.

Maybe you'll want to take a look at his signature and get back to me.

And yes, I have watched him play on several occasions.

I haven't seen Luck so I can't judge, but what I do know is he does play in one of the weakest defensive divisions in all of college football. So his stats might be slightly padded. Just saying

Now I see what you did there. I tend to not read people's signatures.
