Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

The Longhorn Network pissed off the Aggies. Nebraska and Colorado were good as gone over a year ago. The Big 12 nearly fell apart when they had left, there were talks of Texas leaving back then, but once they and Oklahoma agreed to stay everybody decided to stick around.
The Longhorn Network may have been a nail in the coffin, but this started a long time ago.
This is ALL TRUE! It has been ruled with a Longhorn thumb ever since 1995, Coach Osborne was against this from the start, because of the Texas Coalition and their edict of adapting all of the old SWC Conf. rules and regs. Also it didnt help that they wanted to impose their restrictions on Partial Scholorship qualifiers, change the HQ of the Big 12 from KC to Dallas, and name a Texan the new Commish!
Texas got what they wanted, they are gonna REAP WHAT THEY SOW!!!

It may have started long ago but it can all be traced back to Texas.
Texas was the biggest reason that the old South Western Conference fell apart and left teams like SMU and Houston out to dry, schools who had pretty good programs that eventually became totally irrelevant.
The same thing is going on in the Big 12 now. The revenue sharing in the Big 12 has been a joke for ages now. Oklahoma has just stated that they want stricter rules and regulations on the LHN not to mention the removal of the current Big 12's President, the same guy who was basically hand selected by Texas.
The Longhorns and their greedyness killed off one Conference and is on the verge of killing another.
Nebraska and Colorado just happened to be a little ahead of the curve in looking after their own tails. The revenue that Colorado is now getting from the Pac-12 in one year is more than what they were receiving in 2-3 with the Big 12.
So again, if you want to blame anyone, blame the Longhorns' long and embarrassing history of ruining Conferences.
