Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

If the Knights ultimately decide to join the Big East, Conference USA officials told the Sentinel that UCF would have to pay an exit fee of about $7 million.
amazing... so if UCF leaves the big east, they'd have to pay $7 million and also the entrance fee for the BE, which would probably be waived.
nobody is gonna be willing to pay that fee just to go to a crappy conference.
The Big East's only attraction is the BCS status they have at the moment.
The loss of Pitt and Syracuse (or was it Connecticut?) and the likely change of TCU's heart put the Big East in jeopardy (and I don't mean frame your response in the form of a question).
IMO the only chance the Big East has is to merge with the Mountain West, and I'm not joking. If they don't do something soon, they will cease to exist as a conference. If, in fact, they are inviting Boise State and Air Force, why not the whole conference?
Realignment requires large conferences. With the loss of two and the cold feet of the one prospective new member, the Big East would be lucky to remain at eight football teams. Joining with the Mountain West would give them super conference status.
Another possibility would be to conduct a major raid on C-USA, but as previously stated, that is problematic.

Agreed. Just get in a real conference. It'd be interesting.
this irritates the hell out of me. i'm sure you're just joking around but i'm so tired of people talking like this. if Boise State had any choice in the matter we would have joined the PAC-12 years ago. In my opinion, the PAC should've invited Boise over Colorado, but that's just me. Also we're closer to the Pacific than Colorado lol

lol. well i suppose they could have... it would've given them 13 teams, 12 if Louisville leaves to the Big 12 if Mizzou goes to the SEC. But that's not counting the addition of Fresno, Nevada and Hawaii. As if the travel for the Big East wasn't bad enough... with that particular structure, teams would be traveling from Hawaii to Florida, to Texas to Connecticut. It's a nightmare. They might as well rename it the North American Conference or something. NAC. lol.
one thing's for sure is that travel is going to be a nightmare if Boise joins.
i still have reservations about it because of that and there still seems to be some instability within the conference because West Virginia, Louisville and UConn have all toyed with leaving. If they lose their AQ Status, the exit fee would be so high it would be impossible for teams to get out.
That's why i mentioned last week on twitter that Boise should ask for a clause (and maybe all the other incoming teams too) that would allow them to exit the conference with no exit fee if the conference lost their AQ Status.
My only hope would be that if Boise did well in the Big East (and there's no reason to think they won't) for the next two years, then maybe the PAC/Big12 would both come calling at that point. Especially since Super Conferences seem imminent. Boise belongs in one of those two conferences and shouldn't have to travel all over hell and back to get things rolling. But if it were temporary that would be nice.
Either way the amount of money we'll get from the Big East is way better than what we've got now, and we'll be guaranteed a BCS Bowl. If UConn can get in with 4 losses, I think Boise will be fine lol. Although now Boise is all but guaranteed since we're the only non-AQ team left that has any chance in hell but we still have to go undefeated and all that jazz. That wouldn't be necessary in the BE.
