I say Auburn, they have been playing consistent, and imo- they are a better team that Oklahoma. It would be nice to see Cardel(Cadillac) Williams graduating with a national championship on his hands too... What do you guys think?
But then they would get the AP to feel sorry for them agian, and get half the NC
Auburn still hasnt gone undefeated yet, so how can you right now say thet diserve it. Same with USC. Oklahoma is the only team with onny Baylor left on there scedual.
let the season play out and see who is left undefeated (look, Wis. just lost last week)

Originally posted by rcsodakI honestly don't see OU losing, Jared.
Last year, I was concerned, and rightly so. But this year, they have a two pronged attack on offense. Not too many teams can stop both.
I think OU and Auburn are the two best teams. The only reason USC is #1 is because of last year's co-championship. Not saying that's a bad thing, but I've seen them a couple of times this year, and ALL of the OU games, and quite frankly, they're NOT deserving of #1. But I guess until they lose......
Personally, I think Auburn is the best team, playing the best football, I believe they've only lost one game by less than 18, and that was to a top 10 team (at least at the time of the match-up.
They arguably have one of the best set of running backs in a long time.
I know you point out that USC is ranked one because they won it last year, etc. but I think more people should be questioning not who USC should play...auburn or oklahoma....rather, should USC even play in this game

Auburn might, arguably, be playing the best fotball right now. WE ned a tourney!!!!!
Anyway, I think Auburn, by a hair, because they are playing well at the right time, and they haven't really had a close one yet.
In a somewhat related question(s), lets say either Auburn or OU loses (or both) in their conference championship games.
I assume Cal would then move up to 2, but do you move Utah up to 3 or 4? Where do you put Texas? They lost to OU. They always say its better to lose earlier than later. That would mean a Cal-USC re-match, which would be kind of anti-climactic. Cal is capable of beating USC. So if the other 3 winners of the BCS Bowls are all now at one loss, , then who is number 1? What if Utah ends up the only undefeated team?

It'll be interesting if there ends up being two undefeated teams AGAIN. I think the days of the BCS getting 'bailed out' is fast approaching an end.
They need to come up with a differnt plan.
It'd be easy to say for the last two teams standing to play each other, (as I suggested last year - on SB weekend), but what if there happens to be three left?
