Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

The OU Bone. Rush for 600 yards, fumble twelve times and lose half of them ... in one game. Thomas Lott: "Yeah, we fumbled, but we didn't fumble enough to lose."
OU and UT in the Cotton Bowl every year.
The Sooners have rushed for over 500 yards in a game twenty-seven times.
In 1980 they rushed for 758 yards in the process of defeating CU 82-42 at Folsom Field. OU was also 5 of 7 for 117 yards passing; 875 yards of total offense.
That was the week after OU had lost to Stanford w/John Elway at Norman by a score of 14-31.
They've rushed 400 yards or more ninety-one times.
You had to see it to believe it.
Oh I seen more then I cared to back in the 70s and 80s, being from Nebraska and a Cornhusker fan, Switzer and his wishbone would do it to the Blackshirts quite often.
Barry was the guy who coined the phrase, "Let's hang a half hundred on them!" And they would, sometimes by HALFTIME!
That Sooner magic would break Nebraskas heart plenty of times before Barry was forced out and Gibbs took over. Just think, they had Greg Pruitt, Joe Washington, Billy Sims, all just during the 70s!!!!!!!

Former Oklahoma head coach Barry Switzer made headlines on Wednesday when he called former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel an “arrogant little (expletive).” Manziel is a polarizing figure, so Switzer wasn’t the first to voice an opinion about Manziel and on Thursday, Switzer was on another radio program Thursday. The 76-year-old Switzer was asked if he were a coach in the NFL right now if he would draft Manziel. In his answer, he made a puzzling remark about how he would never recruit a white quarterback.
