Nebraska fans, where you at?

embarrassed yet again in a big game........i thought we should have fired bo last season and there were all these fans supporting him and wanting to keep him another year.

what say you now? how many times do we need to get embarrassed before we need to make a change? i don't care what happens the rest of the season, we are done. but if a change isn't made this time, i will officially lose all hope in this once great and storied football program.

winning a lot of games against inferior teams just to get totally embarrassed and laughed at against ranked teams every single year (not even top 10 teams) is completely unacceptable.

on a side note, because i know there are badger fans around here somewhere, your boots are not very tasty..... you guys freakin own us........nice win and congrats on Gordon getting the new single game yardage record.

wish he could have played that last quarter and embarrassed us more, our football program needs a wake up call and i just hope those 3 quarters of absolute domination was enough, although i have my doubts.

Football is not all bad for me right now, the Broncos are sucking but Ohio St is playing well. I thought we'd be playing you guys in the big ten championship but you guys blew that!

Auburn sucks, right now the Broncos suck and my Broncos Country fantasy league sucks.

Meanwhile teams that I hate like Alabama, Oregon, Florida st and New England are all dominating.

Why do I like this sport again?

At least my other two fantasy leagues are rocking.

The only positive for me this past weekend is that my Washington State Cougars didn't play. Ohh, and my weekend warrior soccer team won our game to get into the playoffs. :-D

because it is times like these that make it that much sweeter when your favorite teams come through. Nebraska fans were spoiled for a long time seeing our team dominate and at least have a chance to go to the national championship almost every year.

those days are long gone and it isn't an easy pill to swallow.

Nebraska fires coach Bo Pelini

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Bo Pelini was fired on Sunday, ending the seven-year run of the polarizing figure as Nebraska's football coach.

"Earlier this morning, I informed coach Bo Pelini of our decision to move forward in a new direction," athletic director Shawn Eichorst said in a statement released Sunday. "Coach Pelini served our University admirably for seven years and led our football program's transition to the Big Ten Conference. We wish Coach Pelini and his wonderful family all the best and thank him for his dedicated service to the University."

I was coming straight here to see Nebraska fans reactions.

I bet they have to be livid up in Lincoln right about now. I don't know much about Mike Riley other than their record was 5-7. So if you ask me this is a complete joke hire without even talking to anyone else after firing a 9-3 coach.

However I will say that Auburn hired Chizik after a 5-7 season at Iowa St and we won the national title in his second year. Of course then we fired him two seasons later.

I heard names like the CSU head guy who is now in Florida, Scott Frost from Oregon, and the guy from Arkansas. I even heard talk about Muschamp. Generally those were the guys who everyone was expecting so I think Husker fans like myself are disappointed in such a low profile hire.

I really would have liked to see Frost come over here. A 5-7 season is not too good. The AD must have seen something special I guess.

Anybody else think Bo will somehow end up in Michigan?

my thoughts? i'm cursed.......that's my thoughts on the subject.

as bad as my chargers have been throughout the decades, you want to know who their worst coach was? the guy that coached ryan leaf? you got it! mike freakin riley!

that said, we wanted a change from bo and we damn sure got it. he is the polar opposite of bo......good with the media, a nice guy, well respected, experienced as a HC in college, Canada, and the NFL.

he has also had some good seasons mixed in with the bad up there in oregon st., which supposedly has the least resources for football out of any school in the pac 12 (sounds like an excuse but it is a little bit relevant)

right now i am stunned and very disappointed (mainly because of the bad taste in my mouth left after his run with my chargers) but at the same time it could have been a worse hire. i hope we get a pro style offense here at Nebraska, something we have never really tried and with the right recruiting it is possible riley has success in the big ten.

yeah, that's how Nebraska used to be too. unfortunately the Nebraska job isn't anywhere near the job it used to be and the same can be said for Michigan as well.

The Michigan job might not be as pretty as it used to be. But when a University has a $9 billion budget, money can do some talking.

I think if Harbough is allowed to walk he'll coach Michigan. Les Miles turned down the Michigan job twice. Dont see how now will be any different. Good luck to Nebraska though, that's a team i respect. And I'm all for the Big Ten returning to a powerhouse.
