He needs to somewhere else. The same team winning the championship every year is not good for any sport.

And they are about to lose if they don’t get a miracle drive.

That's good for the playoff imo. They won't be able to hang with Alabama or Clemson. I want the four best teams to get in. Even if that means two SEC teams.

No way does Georgia belong in the playoffs. They have 2 losses, they didn't win their conference and they lost their last game. Hypotheticals about them being better than Oklahoma (the team that should be in) or Ohio State shouldn't matter, because they have 2 losses and didn't win their conference.

I'm a Ohio State Buckeye fan to the bone but I'm going go ahead and say no way the Buckeyes belong in this year. I don't want to see them get smacked around by Bama or Clemson.

I do think that eventually they should go to a 8 team format. I think that would solve most of the debate.

Georgia sure did let that game get away. Heartbreaking! Bama would've got in with a loss anyway, though.

I think they chose the 4 right teams for the playoffs. It may end up being Bama v Clemson again, but they've been the two best teams for the last 4 years, so seeing that again is fitting. Although I think the semi-finals may be closer than people think.

I kind of figured he would but now it's official. Urban Meyer is retiring. I definitely think it's the right time....

I'm so tired of all of these analysts talking about how Meyer turned the program around like Ohio State had a losing program beforehand.

Jim Tressel finished his career at Ohio State with an official overall record of 94–22 (.810), including six Big Ten Conference championships, a 5–4 bowl record, a 4–3 mark in BCS bowl games, and an 8–1 record against the arch-rival Michigan Wolverines.

Does Tressel's record look like we were a cellar dwelling team?

And Tressel won a championship. The only reason I think people would say something like that is because OSU always struggled against SEC teams under Tressel, and Meyer won two in Florida. Meyer also had the ability to get more out of his team in big games. It's still amazing to me that Ohio State got blown out by Florida back in '06 or whatever it was. I remember Jarvis Moss was dominant in that game, and then he was hot garbage in the NFL. Everyone on that Florida team was junk in the NFL except for Reggie Nelson. So long as he wasn't playing Swinny, who thoroughly owned him, Meyer's teams always played a notch better when it really mattered. So I get it in that sense.

I agree to a certain extent but a lot of coaches could've won a national championship with that Ohio State roster that had Zeke, and Bosa. So many of those guys are good NFL players. Other than that while Meyer was at Ohio State we got destroyed against Clemson in the playoff and then smoke by Iowa last year, and Purdue this year which cost us the playoff both years. I think Ryan Day will be a good coach but we are going to take a step back in recruiting for sure..
