Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Is Lincoln Riley proving that Nick Saban doesn’t care what’s best for the player?
How is it that Jalen Hurts is all of a sudden the kind of quarterback that people said he isn’t?
Why were we made to believe he isn’t a passer?
Would he be in the mix for top draft pick, if he went to Oklahoma from the start?
I think he would be. Riley did an interview last week and in it he made the statement "if your offenseive scheme isn't QB friendly get a new offensive scheme". Riley builds qbs. If Hurts had started at OU he'd be even better than he is now. Of course because he isn't in the SEC now he won't get the credit he deserves and Sabin will get the credit for making him the QB he is. ( ) which is also the reason people say he isn't the QB he obviously is.
Accuracy wasn’t his problem at Alabama. Reading the defense and decision making was his problem at Alabama. Fans got annoyed with him always holding the ball too long and not seeing open guys.
In the Big 12 he doesn’t have to read defenses because Oklahoma’s wrs are wide open every play against Big 12 defenses.

I'll admit that I don't avidly study the Alabama offense, but by and large Saban doesn't really ask too much of his QBs. Dating back to McElroy, it was keep it on tempo with good decisions, and have a dominant OL and Running game. They always have a top tier defense, so it works. Guys developed in the system, and they physically outclassed teams, and were more talented. As time has gone on, their OL play has taken a bit of dip, so Bama is relying more on the athletic QB that can do a bit more. However, they still work within the same system, and don't really break their mold for any QB. Riley is willing to maximize their strengths, and has had a nice stream of complimentary players to help. That said, Oklahoma has yet to win a NC. Right or wrong, their defense has held them back.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
I don't know and I don't care

Actually with Tua this year they don’t really feature the ground game and with defense anymore.
They are completely pass first now and I believe their backs have only hit 100 yards a couple of times. And they don’t carry 30-40 times a game anymore. It’s not the same Bama offense from the prior decade.
Every qb prior to Tua though I completely agree with your assessment. Which includes Hurts.
