Notre Dame
Basically because I grew up being able to watch every single one of their games...hard not to become a fan in my opinion.
Also take into account, i got into them when i was prob. about 10, and they were still in their heyday..all the mystique...heisman trophy winners, national championships, big rivalries..touchdown jesus.

I've been watching The Ohio State University football games since I was little. I remember all of the greats pass through there, the years of Cooper, national title hopes up in smoke against MSU, and now Jim Tressel who I followed a little bit at Youngstown State.
GO BUCKS!!!
THE Ohio State University. 2002 National Champs! GO BUCKS!

Go Huskers

I also root for North Dakota, where I played for two years and attended classes for two years.
Nebraska as long as they are not playing UF.

Penn State.
Because I dig the no name unis. And I always know the family of at least one kid on the team, even out here in Cali.
Also, JoePa is hard to root against, even when they are bad. I can only hope he realizes that it is time to retire on his own.

UNC (Northern Colorado) because it's my alma mater. CSU because UNC is a Division II school, and CSU was the nearest Division I school, and my cousin played there. Arizona (UA) because that's where I live now, and UA is everything in this town (Tucson).

University of Oklahoma. I've lived in Oklahoma (near and in Tulsa) all my life. My older brother was HUGE OU fan and I followed right along in his footsteps. I was in 6th grade when they won the 1985 national championship, and I haven't been able to get enough of them since.
I root for all Big 12 teams(except Texas) when they are playing out of conference.I'm Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die, I'll be Sooner dead.
Nebraska's new quarter with the Sooner Schooner running right over the state of Nebraska. A sign of things to come? =)

Colorado Buffaloes!
I love every team from Colorado because of the Denver Broncos except for the Rockies because I hate Baseball and the Colorado State Rams because they are rivals with CU but don't really hate them. Plus I lived in Colorado for a short time back in '87 and attended the University of Colorado and walked on to the Football team.sigpic

Dang it all to heck

They recruited a FB this year and I hope he does better than what we have had in recent years.
I too like Osbornes and Solichs style, but I also am really excited for this coming season. Nebraska had a top 5 recruiting class and I think our offense has the potential to be exposive.
Anyway I think its going to be an exciting year in college football with all the coaching changes should make for an interesting year.

Obviously, as a Notre Dame fan, i'm interested to see what Charlie Weis can do!
In addition though, it should be just as interesting to see Meyer at Florida, and maybe more so, to see what Spurrier can do at South Carolina!
