  • New to College Football

I've never gotten into College Football really just because the players change so often. But this year, with the Broncos getting 2 First round picks, I want to be able to form a solid opinion of who we draft. So I have a spiral and am keeping track of people from each position that I have my eye on so far. Anyone in particular that will be in the 2006 Draft that I should know about?

yeah, there are a ton of players out there, I barely can keep tracking of my two teams the Irish and Buffaloes..LOL..

But QB Matt Leinart from Southern California, QB from Georgia D.J. Shockely, RB DeAngelo Williams from Memphis...those are probably the notable seniors, there are plenty out there, but that's a good crop of players there..
fight u dwn the fied..cu must win.. fight fight fr Victoy..cu knows no defet! so roll up the mighty score, Never Give in!!...shouler to shulder we will FIGHT..FIGHT ... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!

Yeah, In my "Scouting Spiral" I have Leinart and Shockley, but I will add DeAngelo Williams, thanks.
I like the idea of the Broncos drafting someone top 10 next year and actually having a real reason to be excited about them, instead of just "what i heard" or what position they play. I've always liked Notre Dame because of Rudy, and Michigan because of Wolverine (X-Men), and the Longhorns because in Texas you have to choose your Texas or Texas A&M preference at birth

LOL..Tech and Baylor aren't part of that equation? haha...

But be sure to root against the Redskins, hey if they're the worst team in the league, we get their #1 pick..LOL, I'd take an investment in Leinart, he's someone that we can say that he's our future!

No, no one cares about tech and baylor unless they went there
Oh and I am well aware of rooting against the Redskins. Honestly I wouldn't mind if we end up with a top 3 pick, to try and trade it for like 2 top 20 picks. That happens sometimes when teams really need someone in the top 3, and although we need a replacement for Plummer eventually, I'd rather get 2 impact players that can start right away (maybe OL and Safety)

I've got a name for you, and so do many other members of the board.

            Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College

The best pass rusher in America, no doubt about it. He'll be a top 5 pick.

Offensive tackle might also be a position of interest with the possibility of Lepsis leaving. There are 4 tackles that should go in the top 15 as of today:

            D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia (top 5)
            Marcus McNeill, Auburn (top 10)
Eric Winston, Miami (top 15, had a poor game against FSU)
            Jonathan Scott, Texas (top 15)
A proponent of Denver drafting Cutler since 10/05.

So naturally, my Adopt-A-Bronco is Jay Cutler!

I am not trying to be a homer, but I am thinking, maybe in the 3rd or 4th round, we could pick up David Anderson, a WR from Colorado St.
