  • Bush over hyped

REGGIE BUSH IS OVER HPYED!! hes not an every down kind of back IMO. he only had 15 carries last night, granted he did have 160 yards. But still, if USC doesnt start using him more he wont be able to make it in the NFL cuz like 5 carries in the NCAA is like 1 in the NFL.. Whats your opinion?

Are you crazy 15 carries for 160 yards is more than 10 yards a carry.

My opinion is that Bush being 'Over Hyped' is just ludacris. If he's anything he is UNDER HYPED. Reggie Bush is the most valuable player on that USC team. Bush will run away with the Heisman.

I shall abstain from comment because of my obvious Trojan bias, but I have to know one thing - how is 5 carries in college like 1 in the NFL?

You know, I've met SO MANY jerk USC fans, but you are not one of them.

Being a Cal fan, I probably should hate Reggie Bush. I hate Matt Leinart, I hate Pete Carroll (even though he's a really nice guy), and I really hate their damn mascot and band. But I can't bring myself to hate Reggie Bush. He's that good. He's playing on a team that I hate with such a passion, but every time I watch him he blows my mind. The durability thing raises an issue, along with his more open field style of running (as opposed to between the tackles NFL style), but I don't think it will matter. He is BY FAR the most talented player in college football.

This IS ridiculous...I don't know why I'm responding to it...but I'm a total ANTI-USC but I still think Reggie Bush is a freak of an athlete... As an every down back you might have a case, cuz LenDale White is more of your NFL-type between the tackles guy...but come on, how can you pass on a guy like Reggie Bush? He's got speed, some very nice moves, and he can catch the ball...one word...HEISMAN...
fight u dwn the fied..cu must win.. fight fight fr Victoy..cu knows no defet! so roll up the mighty score, Never Give in!!...shouler to shulder we will FIGHT..FIGHT ... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!

hahaha underhyped? come on that was a lame comment. How can the number 1 team in the nation who also gets almost all the media attention have heisman contendors who are underhyped?

Thanks for the compliment Believe it or not, in the last few years I would actually agree with you. Most of us longtime fans/alumni are pretty cool, but the bandwagoners who only "discover" SC when they are winning can be pretty obnoxious, can't they?

He will probably change the game when he gets to the NFL, he might not be an "everydown type of back" but he will see the field plenty. If he goes to the right team and they use him correctly he will be something special, he can line up almost anywhere on the field, slot, split wide, wing, or running back he opens an offense up to so many more options. I think he would be good in a broncos uni, to me he is the threat this offense is lacking and the future backfield of him and Tatum Bell (throw in Anderson as well) will be good.
The only way he doesn't do well is if he gets drafted to a team that doesn't already have a decent running back and he is relied upon to carry the load.

Reggie Bush wont be an every down back in the NFL. I think he is a top 2 player in college football right now, and will be a fine player in the NFL but he will be a great H-back for some team. I dont think it's completely impossible for him to become a actuall RB, but either way he will be phenomonal.

1- H-back, catches lots of passes and gets to run 10 times a game. Well thats about 100yds a game for him

2- He becomes a fast all around back, close to a Barry Sanders type. But he catches better. NOW that he didnt have too many carries in College he will be fresher for the NFL.

I do respect dj wiliams52 for commenting on retracting his statement, cause it was a load of BS.

I agree - wouldn't it be nice if everyone, upon hearing evidence that is contrary to their original opinion, would be "man" enough to admit they changed their minds?
