  • Recruiting already?

AS a Buffalo fan living in Florida I don't get to much time watching them. But I have a question. I thought there was certain time period for recruitment of HS players?

Any way the local 6A High school went to the semi final game and got beat, literally, by one man. QB - 6'4" 230. Cannon for an arm (65 yard bomb for a TD from his own end zone) and pretty dang fast too - leading rusher in the game.
As soon as the game was over (I HEARD?) coach Carol of the USC Trojans had him on a plane to visit the USC campus. (This last weekend).

I didn't know they could be recruiting during the school year?
    This is the NFL!!

Yeah, recruiting actually is non-stop, they're constantly looking at propspects all the time...the Irish already got a verbal commitment from a junior in High School, QB Claussen (same family as the Tennessee QB)...

That's the difference in recruiting though, as you mentioned, you're 6a teams, in Colorado, we're barely 5a, which means states such as California, Texas, Florida and all the neighbor states have a great farm system, whereas here in Colorado we get athletes that don't even compare to other states (no offense)...

To really answer your question, there's a certain time you have to sign the players because they have to enroll in school and such... Because as a high school senior, you finish around May, then you're right at college in August and all the paper work has to be done...

      Thanks

I had the privilege to see some great HS football this year and it is still fun. If this guy signs with SC he'll be going places. Name is TeeBo (sp) St. Augustine Fl.

      Again, appreciate the info.

He probably would get more chances to play at ND with Quinn leaving soon.

yeah, I've heard rumors of Quinn coming out this year... But I think it'll be beneficial for him to stay under Weiss another year to polish his game up for the pros.. just last year he was a very bad QB, no style what so-ever, Weiss changed him, amazing to see...and that way, once Claussen gets here, he can skip the redshirt and start ASAP (If he's the real deal of course)...

                Go CU
The kid just won the state championchip. He went 18 for 27 passing, 237 yds and 4 TD's. Ran for 153 yds and 2 more TD's.

Tim Tebow, may be headed to Auburn??

Recruiting seems so hard and confusing. If NCAA Football recruiting is anything like real I think it is the hardest.

I actually saw this kid play on espn, and I was not impressed at all... I don't know how well he'll fit in Urban Meyer's spread offense becuase that system requires your QB to make good decisions and Tebow didn't during the game that I watched...
