Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Ohio State Nuts

yeah ND was anything but overrated...Ohio State is playing their best football of the year and if they had to, they'd give USC or Texas a hell of a game... IMO ND's D was suspect all year, and it showed against a quality offense...that speed just overwhelmed them and they couldn't stop Ohio State...

The way Weiss and the ND offense picked apart the OState D impressed me the most, just a lot of drop passes killed ND and they were in it til the last minutes...

I'm predicting a ND national championship game next year!

They didn't win the games against USC or Ohio State, but you have to admit that they hung around and proved they can compete against these teams... Keep in mind, this was the exact same team that went 6-6 last year getting killed by USC by over 30 points... and getting trounced by every other team... to go 9-3 this year with loses to SC and Ohio State (shouldn't of lost to M.State) but I would call it a successful season..

Just watch how they play, its a HUGE difference, do you think a team like Colorado can hang with USC or Ohio State? They'd be lucky to even get 3 points out of it... The funny thing is that if ND would of beat SC or Ohio State, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.... But the point is, that this same crappy 6-6 team (watch them last year, they were HORRIBLE) that didn't have any chance of competeting with SC, DID under Weiss...

I think you're setting your standards too high for a "Quality" team..is SC a "Quality" team? What good teams have they beat? UCLA? (same team that got killed by Arizona) Notre Dame? (Apparently Not). Fresno State? (Lost to Nevada, Done.) Oregon? (lost to an unraked Sooner (Big XII) team). Arizona State? (lost to Stanford)... So what is your standards?

Well FSU hung with Penn State last night and we blew FSU out. We also play in the best coference in football every week....We went into Death Valley and ALMOST beat LSU....maybe I should wet myself over that? The Gators still have some work to do but theyre getting better.

I think not losing at home to a team like say.....I dont know....Michigan State..... might make your quality go up. Being "happy" to lose to USC and OSU? Not that impressive.

And before Domer fans break their arms patting themselves on the back for "hanging" with OSU keep in mind that the Buckeyes put up 600+ yards on your defense and OSU missed 2 FGs and fumbled in the red zone. That game wasnt as close as the score might have indicated.
