Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Sorry guys, but he is gonna struggle until he learns to take the snap from center and read defenses better. That gimmik offense won't work in the NFL, hate to bring ya all down. That offense he ran in college, all he had to do was read the D-End and either hand off, keep it or pass it. Simple, and he had the athletic ability to do it.. in the NFL he won't be as fast or as hard to bring down. They hit and run in that league, ask Mike Vick who has been injured alot in his career. Hell ask Reggie Bush what a fast NFL like defense does to ya....he really didn't do all that much when he got the ball. One play he scored a touchdown.. but for the most part he was stopped. As for him tearing up the college league....lets face it.. none of the teams he faced had good defenses including USC. Ohio St had a great defense and he REALLY struggled against them, except on the last drive that gave them the winning score.
A gimmik offense? I don't think anyone is suggesting that the offense he ran at UT would work in NFL. Like you I figure Vince will have fair size learning curve to contend with but if you think he's just going be a runner like Vick is I don't think he will. He has much size than Vick with an arm that is on par with his.
Btw you do know that Elway worked almost exclusively from the shot gun in '87.

Thank you, I was the same way until I saw him scorch CU twice and then USC as well. I don't know what more the guy can do to appease his critics... He is a better passer than Vick was at this point, and every bit as effective as a runner. He is the real deal, and will be the class of this draft whereever he goes.
Yep, I think last year you would of had a valid argument that his mechanics were out of whack and he couldn't of complete a simple screen pass...but this year he's improved drastically, I would love to see him stay another year to iron out everything, but if BVP can make it to the pros, Vince surely can, He'll probably be a top 5 pick...
Steve Smith said some of the same stuff. He referred to Vince's mechanics (something I've harped on all season) as being unrefined. I used to be a HUGE sceptic of Vince Young, but after watching how he led his team back against USC, it's obvious that he can become a great NFL Quarterback.

how else could he show his support of the college football subforum than by entering a forum he does not care about , and making a post stating his feelings about it nonchalantly
O my god. He gave Vince young NO credit. He was bagging on him and sayskng that he needs to get better at throwing the ball. No **** Sherlock!!!!! Only a few rookie QB's have come into the league and done great. Vince young will develop into a great QB. I dont know why Hodgy was making such a big deal out of it.
