Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Hmm...really? Considering our QB was 29th in the nation in passing compared to your 78th, we're not looking too shabby. Y'all better hope you get your passing going because you're kidding yourself if you think AP is staying for his Sr. year.
Every time you say something about that to an Oklahoma fan they just go off about how their unproven Freshman is better than Peterson. Now I have heard that he is supposed to be good but I highly doubt he is even near Petersons level and probably never will be. So you guys do need to get some passing going because it's not like Oklahomha runs the option. This is why Oklahoma will still be bad the next couple seasons also.
OU is horrible on offense though so if they where nullified the defense got a lot worse and they are in for some trouble. Nebraska now has the recruits from the current coaching staff comming getting up to sophmore and juniors so they can start. With the players intended for this type of system Nebraska is going to be a lot better than they have been the past 5 years.
Horrible on offense? Had enough offense to be the Huskers last year didn't they? Last I saw the Nebraska defense was pretty salty.
OU's offense got off to a horrible start, then AD got hurt. Towards the end of the the year they were starting to gel. You're going to see a lot more production in yards and points this year from the offense....mark my words.

Too bad they got Callahan who IMO is a lousy Head Coach.
A great x's and o's guy and has done a great job recruiting, but I don't think he has the personality to be a coach, or to motive players into becoming winners.

Well he has done a lot with a team of really young guys and teams that where built to run the option. I don't think he is a bad coach and he has gradually made the team better every year. As soon as his guys that he brought in get older which should start this year we will see how good his teams are.

I fail to see a tough game on there....maybe Oregon, even they lost their QB, RB, and best WR. We have all the same conference games, too except for Baylor (talk about a powerhouse) and Tech, who will probably be pretty good. So other than that, I don't see how our schedule is such a cupcake compared to yours.

Since when are OSU and/or Washington on the same levels of a WAC team?
MTSU is in the same conf as troy....so that's a wash.
Out of NU's four non-conf games, only one is of a top 25 team.....and they'll be lucky to win 7 games......
I'm curious, as to when SDSU/NDSU/NCU is going to get to play NU........

Couldn't pass at the end of the year? If I remember correctly, Bomar was the MVP of the Holiday Bowl. I'm pretty sure he completed a pass or two.

Are you trying to tell me that OSU is decent? They beat (division 1-AA) Montana State by 5 points. The only decent team they beat was TTU, but other than that....
True, 3/4 of our non-confrence are nothing, but at least one of them is good.

Bomar was a RS Freshman, which is basically a Sophmore that didn't get to play at all his Freshman year. Besides, Taylor probably wouldn't look so bad if he got to hand the ball off to the best (or one of the best) RB's in the country.

Look, we ALL know that the offense is only as good as the Oline.....and OU's was NOT good last year. It took most of the year to finally figure out who played when/where. Between that and AD getting injured, 8-4 (s/b 9-3) isn't so bad.
This year, the Oline has hopefully gotten stronger, with the addition of some Juco players, and youngsters from last year. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
As for AD, by all accounts, I hear he's actually Faster and Stronger! Again, guess we'll find out soon enough.
The whole NU thing has just been ironic.....
Who'da thunk that, while they are going through some rebuilding, retooling, that the rest of the Big XII would be at it's weakest, sans Texass? If this had happened any other time, NU would have been lucky to end up .500........
