Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I'll repeat what I said earlier - because of the nature of the violation (it was Bush's parents who received the benefit and it was paid by an agent, not the university or a donor) USC will probably get some sort of punishment but there is no way they will have to forfeit games, IMHO. Plus, let's not forget that neither Bush nor his family has to cooperate with the investigators as he is not longer under their authority. This makes the case a bit more difficult (though not impossible) to prove.
As for the Jarrett scenario, this one is a lot more troubling. Again, I find it difficult to believe that they will have to forfeit games but, in a worse case scenario, Jarrett could be banned from playing this year.
Oh, btw, I never bashed the SEC. I just said people overrate the conference.
And I never said the Pac-10 was anything to be proud about.
So....

The Big12 has Nebraska and Oklahoma which are both better than USC and way more consistantly good over the years. Plus we don't have to pay talent to come in.

The fact that their trophies and games will be taken away is not only because of Bush. They are also investigating a lot of other players that supposedly got money and gifts.

1 - Who has more National Championships? USC or Oklahoma? USC or Nebraska?
2 - Name a player USC has "paid." Forget all the hype and innuendos, name me one player that has been "paid" by the University of Southern California.

Do you have facts to back this up? Bush and Jarrett are the only two that have been reported anywhere reputable. And I will state it again - If you think USC will have "trophies and games" taken away you are seriously delusional.

USC counts championships that weren't recognized nationally. Those numbers are inflated, all of them. It figures, considering the Trojans self engrandizing nature.

Definition of immaturity - People who, when shown facts that disagree with their opinions, resort to name calling.
when people actually cared about football? oh... yeah... they started caring because super Nebraska finally started winning some, huh? yeah...
No, my point is, the majority of your national championships were half a century ago. Not to say that they didn't count, but they had no BCS or anythng making it a lot diffent. (ha h hll? mos of m ks ant okn)
