im really not sure what happend with reggie but i think it has him doing with living somewhere and has to do with him either reciving money or giving money.


but if he is reciveing money i dont see the big deal? so what... i think they should get paid to be honest college ball wether its football or basketball is getting as big as pro ball so why not?

According to what's coming out...he and his family were living in a pretty nice house for free. And it doesnt matter if you think they should get paid. They CANT get paid...and he WAS apparently getting paid. If its true, he SHOULD lose his Heisman and USC should lose their National Championships...

Reggie Bush's parents failed to pay $54,000 in rent for the year they lived in a house owned by an investor in a sports marketing agency that sought to represent Bush, the owner of the house said late Thursday night in an interview at The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Michael Michaels, who has been silent since questions surfaced about the Bush family's living arrangements at his Spring Valley house, said the stepfather and mother of the Heisman Trophy-winning running back initially agreed to pay $4,500 per month in rent when they moved in last spring. He said when they failed to pay the first few months' rent, they promised to pay when Bush started earning millions of dollars after turning pro.

Watkins said he plans to sue Bush's parents, and possibly Bush, for fraud and will seek $3.2 million, which includes $300,000 in “out-of-pocket” money owed Michaels and another investor, Lloyd Lake, plus punitive damages.

Watkins said $54,000 of that is the unpaid rent. He declined to say what the rest of the $300,000 included and declined to specify the extent of Bush's involvement.

Bush has denied knowledge of any deal with Michaels and promised details would emerge later that would clear up the situation. He did not answer specific questions about whether his parents paid rent for the house.

The NCAA is investigating the case to determine if its rules of amateurism were violated by Bush or his parents, who may have improperly received extra benefits in their living arrangements at the Michaels house.

It is a violation of NCAA rules for an athlete, or his relatives or friends, to accept benefit from prospective agents “even if the agent has indicated that he or she has no interest in representing the student-athlete in the marketing of his or her athletics ability or reputation,” according to NCAA regulations. An athlete or his family commits such a violation, he would be ruled ineligible, even if its retroactively".

Hahaha it was not small by any means. His family was given a .75 million dollar house to live in and never paid a dime. They were also given $100k to pay off their debts and travel to road games to watch reggie. This is not a small amount, unless you are Trump. They broke the rules and he will have to pay, just like everyone else.

Yeah well, this kind of thing is going around all around the nation.

Colorado got themselves in trouble a few years ago with that recruiting scandal.

I think it was South Carolina or someone else who was being investigated for something.

And a little while back something popped up about the Kansas basketball team violating all kinds of NCAA rules while Roy Williams was there.

These schools happen to get caught. But it's going on everywhere across the country.

The bottom line is that USC will get some sanctions, but if anyone truly believes Reggie will have to give back his Heisman or USC will have to forfeit any games, you are delusional!

Report: USC Received Unfair Advantage by Playing in the Pac-10

A new allegation levied against USC’s embattled football team today claims the Trojans have unfairly benefited for years by playing against one of the softest schedules in the entire country.

The anonymous report, delivered this morning to NCAA president Myles Brand, claims USC has built its dynasty by playing in the Pac-10 Conference, easily the weakest of all the supposed major football conferences in the country.

“USC has had many allegations thrown at them in recent weeks, and we need to take our time and weigh each of them individually,” said Brand. “But if this one is true about them playing in the Pac-10, well – they should be ashamed. And if it is true, rest assured that the NCAA will strip them of their national championship. No champion should be allowed to get fat by playing such a schedule full of patsies. It’s unfair to those schools who are actually forced to compete week in and week out.”

The report claims USC’s schedule has been filled in recent years with the likes of Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Oregon State, and Stanford, among others.

“Don’t get me wrong, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and LenDale White were all good college players,” said Brand. “But let me go against a Pac-10 defense and I’ll get you 100 yards, too. Heck, I might even win the Heisman, and I’m in my mid-60s.”

If the allegations hold, Brand said he will recommend that recent USC Heisman winners – Carson Palmer, Leinart and Bush – be stripped of the award.

The Downtown Athletic Club, who awards the Heisman Trophy, said they are greatly disturbed by USC’s reported link to the Pac-10.

“We seek to award the college player who has performed the best against the best competition,” said a spokesman. “But we can’t be having such a taint affixed to the award. Reggie Bush’s parents getting a house is one thing, but it would be wrong for us to overlook such an unsavory association with mediocrity. No one would respect the Heisman Trophy anymore.”

According to the report, USC knowingly tried to cover up its association with the Pac-10.

“By doing everything possible to hype their annual match-up with Notre Dame, USC knowingly tried to put all attention on that game in hopes everyone would focus on that and forget about who they play on the rest of their schedule,” says the report. “Unfortunately for them, it all came crashing down when they needed luck to slip by the Irish, and then lost to Texas in the national championship game.”

USC has yet to respond to the allegations, but a source inside the school’s football department confirmed numerous Pac-10 teams are on the Trojans’ 2006 schedule.
