Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Husker starting corner out for year, Backup QB M.I.A. for now....
How do you know about our line next year? All of our line is young and gelling, so where is this fact coming from? Also, Demarco Murray is going to be a rising star and is going to get some time on the field. Again, I dont know where you get this, but its wrong.
I find it VERY hard to believe your line will be as good as it was during your last NC appearance.
There's no way this kid has as much talent as Peterson, one of the best RB's in the past decade. No way will you have a heisman QB, either.

Well there is no way your team will have any of these things on any account, so if youre writing us off for next year already you might as well do the same for yourself.
The 2003 and 2004 lines were the best in the nation both of those years. Theres no telling when ANY team will have a line like that soon.
Peterson is a freak on legs, theres no doubt it would be hard to fill his shoes. Nobody is going to do that.
Another thing is we will find a QB to come in and play right away, if we have to go through a year of growing pains, so what.
No team goes through every single year with expectations of winning it all or winning their conference, no less.

About as many teams as there are that fire their head coach after a 9 win season......

First off, the whole ''age'' thing is getting old. Taylor is barely a year older than Bomar. Do you honestly think any of the QB's on your roster would have numbers even close to Taylor's if they played behind his line, with his WR's, and his RB's?
Why do you keep downing us on getting Keller? I guarantee you would be stoked as hell to have a QB like that playing for you in 07-08.
Did I bring up their ages?
Didn't think so.
Read what I TYPE, not what you THINK.
One player had never played a snap in college.....the other had.
What part of that sentence is so difficult for you to fathom?

Well, maybe we have higher standards than you fans do. We fired him because he took over a team with NC quality talent and did nothing.

Yes, you did bring up their ages. I believe you said Bomar was a Freshman and Taylor was a Junior. That is comparing ages.
Taylor had virtually no playing time at Wake Forest, and didn't start playing 'til Juco. Juco is generally players that want a stepping stone for College Football. While he was in Juco, Bomar was redshirting. That means he was still participating in practice, and whatnot.
Once again, Bomar was the one with an All-American HB, and two great targets at WR, not Taylor.

I never said our team would win the NC, or make an appearance. In the next two years, or so? It's definitely possible.

Get back to me when you make sense......
I was in college 12 yrs after I graduated from high school......does that make me the same age as every other senior?
Taylor-"virtually no playing time"=SOME playing time, correct? Josh Heupel ring a bell? Notice how he played his 1st yr with the Sooners.....right out of Snow Jr College?
Come talk to me about secondary education when you're out of jr high..... :paper:

When I say ''virtually no playing time'', that means a few snaps.
That isn't gonna make that much of a difference. I guess it doesn't matter, Taylor had better stats last year with less talent, Bomar is gone. We'll see how Thompson does, right?

Bomar was practicing against the 4th string defense though. Jason White, Paul Thompson, and Tommy Grady were all ahead of him on the depth chart the year he redshirted.
Bomar's best WR was a true freshman last year. Malcom Kelly, a true freshman, led the team in receiving. If a true freshman was better than all of your WRs, then your WRs must be pretty bad.

Um, wrong. Malcolm Kelly was a Sophmore last year.
Our best was also a Sophmore. Your second best was a Senior, wheras ours was a Junior.
Yeah.....too bad for the other QB's that were told by callahan that they'd be playing, right?
They just picked up a "highly touted' juco qb for next year.....
...sounds to me like callahan doesn't have the ability to bring up a qb from within, and has to resort to juco's to do the job for him.
Maybe, since he's the common denominator between the huskers/raiders, that HE'S the stupidest. :idiot:
You need to stop commenting on stuff you don't know about because you are looking like you just randomly say crap.
Who exactly did Callahan say he was going to play? The only other QB that was going to get a shot just left the team. That is the reason for bringing in a new QB to play next year while we look for a future QB.....
you related to jns?
Evidently neither of you understand the difference between a FRESHMAN and an upperclassman.
And just because OU showed interest, doesn't mean anything, other than maybe they TOO couldn't see wasting 2 scholarships on a POSSIBLE 1 yr player.
Taylor and Bomar played the exact same number of years in this league. Just because one is a year younger than the other does not give him an excuse. If they both play 1 year then they both have the same experience and can be compared. It isn't like Taylor got 2 extra years of playing in this league to get better than Bomar.... Please try to make some sense.
The scholarships where also used on a guys that is playing next year. We lost our future QB and now we needed someone to come in while we bring in another one. Please keep up if you are going to argue and talk about people understanding stuff.

I'm done with this topic...
I make valid points to those that don't have closed minds.
But since I can't make heads/tails out of some of your sentences, I'll leave you to your homerdom.......

My a spelling error, and a missing comma in 1 sentence. Yeah that extra s really makes it hard to understand. I think you need to go back to school if you cannot interpret a sentence.
You also make no valid points at all. How exactly does saying it was Bomars first year in this league make a good excuss when it was Taylors first year in this league as well? That is not a valid point at all. Then you talk about us "wasting" scholarships on a QB. You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Taylor is gone after this season. Our other QB that was supposed to start next season left the team. So how exactly is it wasting a scholarship to bring in a starting QB for next year when we do not have one?
You have made 0 sense and 0 valid points. You obviously don't read about what you are trying to argue since you have no clue what the situations for either subject are.
