Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

They also play USC and probably alot of other good people.
Yes they probably play teams like Army, Navy, Air Force, and Stanford every year.
Those teams are probably good every year, right?
Three academy schools that dont have athletic scholarships and one school that lost to a D-1-AA school last year.
Quick: I haven't had my ass whipped in a while. Probably been since like...1911?
Sugar Ray: Yeah, thats when you were born and the doctor slapped you on the ass.
Quick: Yes, thats the last ass whipping I recall. And I'm looking for him.
Yeah and Michigan State, Michigan, USC, and Purdue every year... Oh yeah and don't forget Georgia Tech, Penn State, and UCLA... Whats your point? Not everybody on your schedule is going to be tough... You're going to have those teams to fill up your schedule...
Your a gator fan right? hmm lets look at your schedule..
Southern Miss, UCF, Kentucky, Western Carolina? You have got to be kidding me!!
But I don't knock on your strength of schedule becuase they also have to play FSU, Auburn, and Georgia...
I don't see your argument at all...

Im not really trying to make an argument. The previous poster was stating what a tough schedule Notre Dame has every year. The fact is.....it isnt that tough.
Listing Michigan State, Purdue, and Georgia Tech as some of the "tough" teams just proves this. None of these teams are ranked nor should they be.
You dont knock Florida's schedule because you cant. Right now (and that can change) it is arguably the toughest schedule in the country.
Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, and Florida State.
Just because a team like Michigan State beats Notre Dame every year doesnt necessarily mean that Michigan State is a tough team.

The year before, ND had the 16th hardest schedule in the nation. Florida was 60th.
In 2003, they had the 9th toughest schedule. Gotta go back to 2002 to find a year that Florida had a harder schedule than ND.
Actually if you look over the past 10 seasons Florida's cumulative opposition rates #27 (.577) in the country. Compared to Notre Dames .536 which ranks them at #52. Link if you need it:
Bottom line, Florida plays in the toughest conference in the country. So even when their SOS is lower its usually because the SEC teams have beaten up on each other.
While Notre Dame refuses to join a conference in football because that would mean sharing some money. Something we know they dont want to do...

notre dame is going to win the national championship next year. i guarantee it. after all, the almost beat usc last year. USC DAMNIT! how can they NOT win the national championship now?

I'll give you that, it isn't ALWAYS tough, but they don't have a flimsy schedule every year... It's not like they're playing D1aa teams or purposely avoiding some D1 teams ... They'll play anyone, anywhere!
Looking at the list, interesting to see CU have a tough schedule every year, they crack the top 30 every year...That's how its done!

Listen, all I'm saying is that ND doesn't have a flimsy schedule...never does.
There are 8-9 teams on their schedule this year that could make a bowl.
As far as scheduling service academies, navy is a pretty good team...and many won't play air force at air force because of the altitude. Notre Dame is willing to play home and home against either of these teams.
And Notre Dame also doesn't schedule mid-majors and D-1AA teams. They don't start the season against teams like San Jose St. and Middle Tennessee State. Last year they started against the #23 ranked team followed by the #3 ranked team.
Any why would anyone want to share money?!?!?!
"The Gagne T-shirt jersey comes with a complimentary can of gasoline and a set of matches."

only missed the top 25 like 3 times in the last 20 years

That's actually a pretty darn good number...but we're not settling for mediocrity anymore...its all about National Championships!!!
