Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

The NCAA won't penalize Notre Dame football and basketball players who participated in promotional spots for a sports talk show on a local television station.
I have a lot of respect for the Notre Dame program, but come on, no penalties whatsoever?
The NCAA is so hypocritical. I can only imagine if a school like Akron or Tulsa committed similar violations. Some sort of action would be taken against them. Oh well, such is business.
It's not like anyone of them made 18k in a year working 4 hours a week ...
It's not that big of a deal but you are right...if Akron, Tulsa, or even my Buffs would of done something like this, it would of been in the media for days...this is the first time I've seen this news...

Don't get me wrong. I don't think what these players did is a big deal either.
I don't think that a lot of these so-called violations are a big deal. If the NCAA is going to make billions off the sport, why can't the atheletes make a little bit off of endorsements?
My only problem is the fact that this happened at Notre Dame and the NCAA all of a sudden doesn't come down hard on them, like they seem to always do to smaller/less prestigious schools, regardless of the situation.

What were they gonna do? No TV? No bowl game? Fat Chance! Recruiting restrictions? It's Notre Dame......Media Darling....Untouchable!
Eligibility? And ruin their chance (And all media's dream) of a National Championship? Never happen! And only Because it's Notre Dame!
