Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

They also played Louisiana Tech who was ranked 40 and just as good as Arkansas, now Louisiana Tech is like 90 though. Nebraska dismantled them as well. There is not a huge difference in the level of competition between those two teams. Nicholls state is 1-AA and not even worth mentioning. Pretty much that game is like a warmup scrimmage - unless you are CU. Arkansas is now 45 in the rankings. It isn't like either team played at all decent competition. The judgement of how good both of these teams are can't really be made untill they play real competition which will mean after this weekend.
There is still a huge difference between facing I-A school from argueable the toughest confernce in the nation and a I-AA school. So I don't agree with that the competition is anywhere near the same.
At least both teams beat the teams they were suppose to beat handly. I'm mean OU has problems dealing with teams that are cupcakes.
Wow, you are right..what happened to these guys? 70-17 two years ago, and they only manage a measly 50-14 this year?
What happened?!?! It's almost as if they lost a heisman trophy winning qb, a heisman trophy winning RB, and another RB who scored 26 tds.
I realize you're just hyping them, so they'll be ranked up there when ND plays them, but really....
...Ar lost 2 fumbles in the first half alone....
...and the score at half was a whopping 16-7.
...silly nj......

La. Tech isn't D-IAA. They are in the WAC. They are actually fairly respectable, if ya think about it. They beat Fresno State last year a few games after they gave SC a scare.
SEC isn't as tough as most people think, IMO. They have one NC quality team, and that is Auburn. Florida is overrated, and Georgia lost too many key players to be considered the same as last year. IDK about LSU, since they've only played weak teams, though Arizona is almost, kinda, maybe, sorta respectable. I know they've lost their QB (something Russell. DeMarcus?), but I hear that guy they have currently is pretty good. I guess we'll see against Auburn.
All in all, I think Ark. made too many changes to be considered better than La. Tech.

You don't know how far off you are right there. Louisiana Tech is a 1A school that was ranked in the top 25 parts of last season. They ended somewhere around 40 though. The second team Nebraska played was 1-AA.

Well I wasn't refering to Louisiana Tech although if the finished at 40 LAST season then they probably were not that good. I was refering to Nicholls State. Its I-AA school. Besides that La Tech isn't all that big of a school that gets great recruits year in and year out if fact I don't think they ever have.
We see what happens USC has had argueably the best recuiting classes the past four or years.

I didn't say La Tech wasn't a division I-A school, I was talking about Nicholls State. I'm not saying Nebraska has no chance to win but I do think that even though USC has lost quite a bit of talent to the NFL they are still exteremly rich in talent.

What does the recruiting class have to do with the teams we played. USC didn't play anyone special. They are ranked 40 RIGHT NOW. As you said, they can't be that good. Also, the recruiting class at the 3 schools that played these 2 teams have sucked badly. That is not an argument on who will win the Husker vs USC game, it is just stateing a fact that Nebraska and USC have played about the same competition level and both did almost exactly the same against them. Nebraska did way better against the 1-AA school than either of them did against the crappy 1-A schools, which was expected. Recruiting classes are like drafts also but way further off. When you are judging 4032942304923 high schools to pull players out of you are not going to find all of them and their skills are going to range greatly, a ton of top talent most likely doesn't have great HS coaching so it isn't even realized yet. The only thing you get from the stars are the natural freak athletes. Ones that can actually play can come from anywhere in the recruiting classes.
Anyways Nebraska has also had some really good recruiting the past 2 years or so. It just has only been the past couple of years so everyone that is really good is really young. If this Nebraska team can even stay close to USC then I can't wait until next season and the season after considering the majority of our starters are only sophmores now. USC has had good classes for about the past 10 years though, and the majority of their key positions are really young and haven't played much ball. That is where Nebraska could stand a chance in this game.
USC has better overall talent. Some of that talent is to fresh though and Nebraska has the better QB. USC then has the better receivers. Nebraska has the better RB's and TE's, and USC has the better o-line.
In all I would say these teams are pretty even offensively and that is why I have been hopeing that it just turns into an offensive battle so Nebraska stands a chance.

What I'm saying is USC is deeper and more talented that's why I mentioned the recruiting classes and yeah it has every thing to do with this game and every game. And totally disagree that Nebraska's qb is better. Also USC has the better overall talent on both sides of the ball.
Again we'll see what happens but I don't think they are even offensivesly.

We will see but I can guarantee you haven't watched both teams if you don't think Nebraska has the better QB play. USC does have better receivers and a better overall o-line. They are nowhere close to our TE and RB sets though. Their defensive line and linebackers are great but I still think Nebraska has better talent at both by a lot on the line and I am actually kinda split on who has better LB's. USC's secondary for this game doesn't look any better than Nebraska's either. Their starting safety and CB are both out. Nebraska's #1 corner is out also and I think both teams are looking a little thin at those positions with to many young guys playing. I really don't see where they have better talent than Nebraska other than their receivers are probably the 2 best in the league.
The biggest problem with Nebraska being underrated is the fact that they where so young last season they didn't start to play until about half way through. This season, I don't think many people have paid attention to them. They are way better than people think and I really hope USC takes us as lightly as some of the population does. Nebraska always has a great defense and now the offense is killer again.
