You can't lose 45% of your offense (AD) and expect everything is going to be okay ... What is OU going to do without OU, I've watched OU all year and the offense evolved around him... Thompson is very erratic, and WRs, although very athletic, have their moments of not being in the game (part of that may be due to the fact PT is so inconsistant)...
Gonna have to go against ya, 303....

...I think this will pull the team together, if nothing else. Last year they were able to run w/o AD...with Gutierrez and company...and I think Patrick will do just fine. He'll get all the reps this week and be rearing to go. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised to see them burn the redshirt off of the kid from Utah....just in case.
Thompson has looked way better than I imagined, and that gives me a glitter of hope that he can sustain that and continue to improve.
I won't bet you any cp's , but I will go with OU.
    TTU? They SUCK this year.........

LOL, yeah Im done with betting for now, been in way too much debt...haha...

But If OU is going to beat CU, its going have to be by Thompson... CUs run D has been great, they've only looked bad when they are stuck out there due to poor offense...

I'm not doubting OU has some good players at RB, Guiterrez was good last year and Patrick got some carries when AD got tired... Both showed explosiveness, but they're going to run into a sound CU run D... I would say our biggest weakness is in the secondary, if OU can get some short routes, screens, etc to their WRs, its gonna be a long day...

If I were a Sooner fan, I would be worried about this game... OU, defensively, has been over pursuing players and missing tackles..They have all the right players there, but they are missing something...maybe missing Mike Stoops?

This is what's gonna happen, both offense is going to struggle, one defense is going to be left out too long and big plays will happen, I see those big plays going in the Buffs favor!
fight u dwn the fied..cu must win.. fight fight fr Victoy..cu knows no defet! so roll up the mighty score, Never Give in!!...shouler to shulder we will FIGHT..FIGHT ... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!

Well, then it's a good thing they're just playing the Buffs this week then.....LOL

        You might be right.....

.....I honestly haven't seen one play of the buffs.....but was impressed by BSU last year, so if the players are that much better than his previous school's.....and they've bought into his schemes, then OU could be in for a long game....

But I'll stick my neck out....

        OU 24*
        CU 19

Well, at least I had the important score right.....

.....man....Georgia must be a paper tiger, and TTU must really suck worse than I thought!

OU will still get to a bowl.....just not a BCS bowl.

It all depends on how he comes back, as to whether he plays at OU again next year....AND if they can prove they have a top notch QB.

          Otherwise, it's late 1st round......

There's no comparison. LJ is a better running back than Adrian Peterson. How many times did ADP run for 2,000 yards in a season? Never. He's always hurt. Not only did LJ do it for my Nittany Lions, but he did it on a team that only won 7 games. Now he's in the NFL, and he's in the top 3 there too. Top 3 in the NFL, and Peterson can't even stay healthy for 1 full college season. He's going to be a nothing in the pro's. He'll NEVER be up to the status of LJ. Don't get it twisted, I am a broncos fan, and I always have been, but I respect talented players. Even though LJ is a Chief, you have to give credit where credit is due. There should be no comparison between LJ and AD because LJ has got him beat, by far.

Based on talent alone, Peterson will still go high if he enters the draft. As mentioned earlier, people have ripped their knees off and still went first round. This injury was sort of a fluke. . . but it will affect his status, somewhat. When I say high, I believe top fifteen, and there's no need for Adrian on the team anyways, regardless if you're an OU fan or not. Denver has far more pressing needs than another RB, and if you haven't been paying attention, Tatum Bell is one of the two bright spots on offense we have at the moment. . . pipe dream kids, and the pipe is filled with angel dust.

Too bad your hatred for the sooner clouds your judgement.....

.....and to make such a bold statement will only bite you in the butt, down the road.

AD had 1900+ in his FRESHMAN year.......yards after contact were 1,365, 71% of his net ... broke OU school season rushing record set in 1978 by Billy Sims (1,896) and NCAA freshman record set in 1996 by Wisconsin’s Ron Dayne (1,863) ... also set NCAA frosh marks for consecutive 100-yard rushing games (9) and total 100-yard rushing games (11) ... His 11, 100-yard games ranked second at OU (Quentin Griffin had 12 in 2002) ... tied NCAA freshman record for reaching 1,000 yards in the fewest games (7) with Emmitt Smith (Florida, 1987) and Marshall Faulk (San Diego State, 1991) .

And lets not forget what an old man once said about your LJ.....and diapers....
