Jim Fassel Rumored To Be The Next HC at 'The U'

Former Bronco O-Coordinator (during the Wade Phillips era), NY Giant HC and Baltimore O-Coordinator Jim Fassel is rumored to have emerged as a leading candidate to be the Head Coach at the University of Miami. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are said to have endorsed his candidacy for the job.

Fassel lead the NY Giants to the Super Bowl against Baltimore, and was Elway's QB Coach at Stanford, and was also the HC at the U of Utah for a time as well.

I think this would be a scary-good hire for the U. The guy is an Offensive mastermind, and has alot of credibility being a successful HC in the NFL, as well as having extensive College coaching experience.

As a Hurricanes fan, I would like this hire very much.

There is no question Fassel is good on offense with X's and O's.

It will be interesting to see how he does at the College level and recruiting if he gets the job.

That team seriously needs a disciplinarian to lead it.

Butch went to North Carolina....now we hear Steve Spurrier is the leading candidate for the The U...
