I don't really care if someone begs. It doesn't do anything to negatively affect me. It's just more letters on a screen to me.

Because the CP system is to reward people for quality posts not unworthy begging from people that don't even post anything good.

EXACTLY! CP stands for "contributor point". . . . they're meant to be awarded for, you know-- contributing something to the board! write some good posts, share some information, be witty and amusing. . . anything! try adding something of value to the discussion. . . clearly, the established members are getting tired of the begging, and the user titles saying "i need 58 CPs for my next bar" and all that junk. . . the CP system is intended to make this a better place to post, and we want to see it used for that-- if you want CPs so badly, earn them like other members have. . . is there something difficult to understand about that concept?

I think you will find that a majority of the posters who were here before or during the implemation of the CP all feel the same - along with the people who truly understand the purpose of CP's - as mentioned above -

man, that is truly pathetic! you'd think you could trade 'em in for sex with supermodels the way some people are acting. . . it's funny, but the people who have the most never had to beg to get them. . . . they're just contributor points people, they're not cash!!

if you really want them that badly, what's wrong with actually EARNING them by writing good posts the way most people get them??

Well, much of the time CPs are given for love and respect of the poster rather than the actual posts...

So be it - but its one of the reasons the rule of spreading it around was put into place - its only natural to find the posts of the people you like to be better than others - its one of the reasons you prolly like that poster in the first place

You know what's funny. His avatar, combined with the post and <- this little critter set me off and it looked like that kid in the avy was the one begging. So I laughed, paid him and took notes. He's reading this now I am sure to keep up on who's paying. No more PMs buddy. You're on ignore. :thumb:

EDIT: This poster I am refering to is a cool guy I am sure, so this is not to degrate or belittle him, otherwise I would've mentioned him by name. But this action left a bad impression and the way it was done was ghetto gangsterish.
