This is a boring race. No one really stands out of the pack. Might as well give it to the best player on the best team again, when it should go to the best player in the nation.

Wait until you see the voting.
I'm telling you, Hawaii is a passing offense, that's how their entire offense is set up...if they want their QBs to get more glory and consideration, they'll have to schedule real opponents.

And also Cal. look at the three sort of quality teams they played...Lost to Boise State, Lost to Oregon State, and lost to Alabama.
If Hawaii can beat a sort of quality team, I'll have a little more respect for them...but for now, they're just doing what they do every year....beat up on the no-names, and lose to the big names.Administrator

Do feel like retracting that last statement, buddy?
Guess it means nothing to me. Not a single QB in the nation could have done what
he did, even if they did play in Jawaii. I really dont care if you like to hate on a
player that didnt go to a giant media loving school, because seriously, thats why
Smith won it, and why Quinn was even invited.
Colt Brennan was the best player in college, bar none... Excepet Adrian Peterson
who unfortunatly got injured.Club Leader: Robert Griffin III > Andrew Luck

Please continue to enlighten us with your "Small school bias"
Just look at Hawaii's history, and besides that, the play in the WAC!
No bar none, Troy Smith plays for a talented college football team and has led his team through difficult games.
Is Colt Brennan's team undefeated EVEN with the 93rd hardest SOS?
No.
Do they have one, or even 2 losses?
No.
Colt Brennan was the sixth best player in college football according to the voters. Bar none.Administrator

As for Colt, I think 6th is about where he should be.

By the way, as a USC fan/alum, I am stunned that Dwayne Jarrett got a first-place vote. Did that person actually watch him all season or base it entirely on the Notre Dame game?
Because if he had watched him all year like I did he would have seen that Mr. Jarrett had a real case of ALS (Ashlie Lelie Syndrome) this year - he had some really nice games but there were others he completely disappeared in.

Hey, I'm a Florida fan and I'm shocked Chris Leak got a first place vote!
He didn't have a bad season, but it certainly wasn't that good.
I was listening to ESPN Radio late Saturday Night, and they said there were just some voters who don't even deserve to be considered to vote again....namely the 13 voters who voted Troy Smith for 3rd place.
Or the voters who said they wanted to pay tribute to the great job Henne and Hart have done so they're voting them 1-2.
And I completely agree...some of the people voting aren't even big college football fans.
Something about that isn't right, and even though the best player normally winds up winning, if it's ever really close...say Ray Rice and Darren McFadden both have insane years next year, their teams go undefeated, and they meet in the championship.....the vote would be really close. It would come down to those idiot voters that don't even follow the sport that much.
That's not fair.Administrator

IS Hawaii, OSU would have been good with just an average NCAA QB this year.
You, obvisouly, only pay attention to the Media, like the voters. BTW small school
