No way can you compare the two.

First off, McGahee tore all the LIGAMENTS in his knee. Ligaments usually don't heal fully, making them much more damaging than bone injuries (Booby Miles in ''Friday Night Lights'' is the perfect example). Broken bones will almost always heal 100% and sometimes get stronger in the process.

Second, Peterson hurt his collarbone, which is not RB type of injury. That isn't going to hamper him the rest of his career. ACL's/MCL's are waaaaay different considering they are in your knees which are crucial to RB's.

If he puts up the monster #'s he should in the combine, he'll be a top 5 choice. Not to mention, he still gets to play Boise St. in the Fiesta. Saying that, he has been injury prone throughout his career at OU, which is most likely due to overusing him, which would not bode well for him.

        please fall to the Broncos...

Forget Peterson. If Ted Ginn declares and is there when we pick, we gotta jump on that. He will bolster our ST tremendously ala Devin Hester and he is also a force as a receiver.

            I agree with you, actually.

Shanny was all over Hester from what I remember reading, and I bet would've picked him if he was around when we picked Scheffler.

Normally I'm not big on these return/utility guys, but Ginn is ridiculous.

If we don't go with a DL in the 1st, I'd like to see Ginn. Maybe a OT, or Lynch/Peterson, but Ginn would do good things for the special teams, which has been the worst in the NFL. Can't fight that argument.

I don't see Minny and KC skipping Troy Smith though, and definately don't see him going to Philly.

From what I understand in talking to some Raider-fan friends (the knowledgeable ones, not the criminals), they are taking an incredible amount of heat up there for passing on Leinert this year. Therefore, I think if Quinn is available, and he should be since they will likely be the #1 pick, they take him, IMHO.

Ginn probably wont be a "force" as an NFL WR. He will be Dante Hall, maybe a lil
more like Santonio Holmes has been this year, but nothing more. He will probably
make a great return guy, but not a WR.

Well as for Bush being a "Probable" first rounder, is almost insane IMO. Bush, if I'm
not mistaken was the #1 ranked RB coming into this year. He had over a 200 yard
rushing performence before he got hurt. He did break his leg, but not badly like
BJ Sams did to his ankle. He will be fine for the combine and i think he will put up
                better numbers than Peterson there.

If Bush comes out, i would expect more of McGahee type of situation from him.

Bush is a probably a first rounder, you're right about that.

If Ginn could be another Hall or Hester, then it would be well worth the pick for us, even in the 1st. Our return game sucks all around.

Yeah, he is still worth it, return guys are a growing importance in the NFL. The
Cleveland Browns have the best "average" starting field position, and the best
average starting field position against them, i think that helps their defense greatly.

Well, i do see SM's joking attitude about Detroit and WRs, but they really do need
                          Quinn.
