My thoughts on Notre Dame

Sooooo ND got a little side tracked in the second half...


Hell they got owned in the second half... But!

Next year will be the start of an actual Charlie Weis team.

Jimmy Clausen will be starting at QB highlights in one game

And the defense will hopefully be revamped with speed by the 4 star CB and some other 3 star D-linemen.

We're going to get a top ranked RB too that runs a 4.31, 40 and looks beastly in his highlight vids highlight video (crappy quality) who will go great with Walker/Aldridge.

So even though the bowl game was a dissapointment, I'm excited about the years to come for ND.

they have been "owned"....in just about every bowl game they have been in the last 9 years.....and weiss.....better start winning some big games, or his recruits will be there and he will be long gone......

Nah, not after one year... Recruits will always be there, its like saying its hard to recruit at USC, Alabama, FSU, Florida, Oklahoma...Programs like this have tradition and it doesn't take much convincing to go to these schools....

Eventually the recruits that Weiss brings in will do justice themselves, they'll be good enough once again, theres no way around it...

Notre Dame better start scheduling some more quality opponents.

I know they play USC, and Michigan, but they need more...or they'll keep getting blown out in these bowl games.

They need to learn that they can't expect that beating Army, Navy, and Air Force, will mean they're good enough to win vs. other teams.

They will always play those teams because it's a tradition.

But I do agree with you on facing harder teams.

I understand tradition when it comes to Purdue, Navy, etc., but its only been the last few years that Stanford (worst team in the Pac-10) and Air Force have become annual. And what the heck is with scheduling Duke next year?

They thought it was basketball.

Probably they do have a B Ball deal linked with football I believe

IMHO ND is overrated. Weis is a good coach but they need a better Defense or they will never compete in a BCS bowl game.

Agreed...You can see the disparity when they play teams like SC, Michigan, and LSU, I said it at the beginning of the year, they are sllooooww.... They have quality players, but when it comes to speed, ND has to be the slowest out of the BCS teams..

This isn't the end of Notre Dame though, you can't be dominate every year...

We really need some speed and I think we will get that next year.

Oh, wow. That list of recruits is fabulous. They got Jimmy Clausen, the best high school QB since John Elway coming to their school, plus a really good, and fast 4 Star RB. This team is gonna be great.

Exactly my point....Its hard to keep these kind of teams down... Watch out for Bama too, they are already a recruiting Giant and with the right coach, they are just as dominate...

What you talking about? Only Sam Young started most games. James Aldridge played very little.

After ND took a beating, couple of high school players dropped ND on their list. Can you believe that? So do not trust high school players cuz they can change their minds.

Yes, understandable.... but thats not to say they have a ton of freshman with talent that is ready to get into there... Its very rare that you're going to find all your freshman recruits playing...

And I agree, high school kids are very indecisive, I know CU got screwed by a couple of those commits...
