Last night just proves that the SEC is the best Conference in Football.

Mel Kiper said if Vanderbilt with Jay Cutler had played for the Big Ten they would be 10-2 each year.

    Where Jay Graduated!

I tell you I love Elway! He was my hero growing up. I loved the way he threw the ball with velocity! I love that in a QB. This is why I am a Cutlerfan!!

Not to mention LSU whacking Notre Dame and Georgia beating Va Tech.

IMHO If Vanderbilt with Jay Cutler had played in the Big Ten he wouldn't be the player he is today. Playing in the best Conference in Football has helped his development.

The big winner from the bowls is Jamarcus Russell.

True, it did help Jay playing against the best in college!

I think Jamarcus Russell will be a Raider.

I thought it was funny how all the National media didnt give Florida a chance, hell they all thought USC should be in there, Florida reminded them that a 1 loss SEC team is still better then a no loss team anywhere else, SEC football is the closest thing to the Pros you can get in college.

That's a joke. Even we were far better than Vanderbilt that year.

That's what Mel said. He was the biggest critic of Jay Cutler!

He may very well have said it, but it's just not true. Vanderbilt was bad even at its best, and there's not nearly that big a gap between the Big Ten and the SEC.

That kind of talk is the product of East Coast elitists who think no one in the middle of the country plays sports.

This is what Jarvis Moss said of Ohio State

"Honestly, we've played a lot better teams than them," Florida defensive end Jarvis Moss said. "I could name four or five teams in the SEC that could probably compete with them and play the same type of game we did against them."

And anyone who's watched Ohio State all year could tell you they weren't playing at nearly their usual level. They were playing like they did in their seven-point win against Illinois.

So yeah, if they played like that, there probably are about five SEC schools that could beat them. There are also about five Big Ten schools that could beat them.

But that's not the point. The point is that someone actually said Vanderbilt would have been 10-2 in the Big Ten last year. That's not just wrong; it's hilarious!

Not just anyone. Mel Kiper said "every year" Vandy could be 10-2 with Jay Cutler as QB in the Big 10. Mel hates Jay. So that is not coming from a homer!

Michigan and Ohio State is the best in the Big 10. Michigan could not do it.

I wish Vandy and Northwestern could have played each other.

SEC is where big boys play and our team the Denver Broncos has the SEC Offensive Player of the Year "Twice"

SEC is the best conference in college football and has been proven. They were just dominating the Bowl Games this year. The SEC has won the national championship many times these past five years. IIRC Auburn and LSU split their championships with USC. And with Florida winning it all this year just proves that SEC is much better. That is why Cutler is as good as he is. If he had played in the Big 10, he might have been taken his team to a bowl game. But that doesn't matter as Cutler is now in the NFL and is doing great.

I agree with you. It just seems that some people like JR has been on my back all year about Cutler.

Big 10 is not awful, just not on par as the SEC. Tennese has been underacheiving all year and Auburn just stunk. SEC has been the most dominant conference in recent years.
