cu can't move the ball in the air? i never watched any practice or scrimmage but on the buffs forum i go to, they were saying that the buffs moved the ball very well in the air and made a lot of long completions -
Thats a little scary, becuase I will tell you one thing, CU can't throw down the field at all... All CSU has to do is load the box with 8-9 men and you'll take away CUs offense... Im not sure if it was good defense or bad offense, I think its both, but CU has a lot of quality speed on D and they are sound, they'll keep them in games again this year, offense is still a major ?Leave a comment:

Bummer about Josh Smith, he really stood out at the game...
I guess we had to choose someone but I say it might as well be Cody since he's young and we can build 4 years around him... our offense still looks bad in the fall game but I guess we'll see when it comes to CS ewwwwww!Leave a comment:

Maybe the Buffs can pull of a miracle and get Julio Jones!...AND Darrell Scott!
They'll most likely go to USC like everyone else, but since they haven't commited yet, I'm keeping the dream alive.....Last edited by stnzed; 08-19-2007, 01:21 PM.Leave a comment:

CU football coaches released the first depth chart changes of preseason practices today and Cody Hawkins, the head coach's son, has won the starting quarterback job.
Hawkins won the job over junior Nick Nelson in a narrow decision that came down to his ability to move the team, his leadership and his overall knowledge of the offense.
While Hawkins was expected to be the starter, there were some surprises, the biggest being news that true freshman wide receiver Josh Smith has been hospitalized with a bruised kidney. He is out indefinitely.
Redshirt freshman Scotty McKnight was one of the biggest surprises. He is listed atop the depth chart at one wide receiver position.
Also, junior linebacker Marcus Burton has been declared academically ineligible and will miss the season, further draining an already depleted group of running backs.
The starting offensive line at this point consists of Tyler Polumbus and Edwin Harrison at tackles, Daniel Sanders at center and Devin Head and Wes Palaazi at guards. Head has one start to his credit and Palaazi has never played in a game at the collegiate level.
