It depends on its schedule and how many undefeated teams are out there.

If it is the only undefeated team or one of two (from BCS conferences), then I am sure that an undefeated Big 10 school will be in the championship game. If there are two other undefeated BCS schools, the team might be left out.

That all depends on who else, if anyone, is also defeated.

It would also depend on which school and their schedule. There are only 5 schools in the Big Ten for whom an undeafeated season would make national voters consider them a top team: Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, and to a lesser degree, Michigan State. If Indiana, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, or Minnesota went undefeated, they would probably not get the amount of points needed to be in BCS game unless they were the only undefeated team out there. Fair or not, the voters would likely vote a one loss SEC or PAC 10 team higher than an undefeated team from the second batch.

A lot of factors in play, but overall, I would think that right now, an udefeated team from the Big 10 would at least be in the mix for the national title, along with the PAC-10 and the SEC. The Big 12 has been a little down for a bit, and the Big East really still only has a handful of teams who play big time football since Miami and BC left and simply will get shafted by voters.

Everybody's gotta elevate from the norm...

Well after watching Michigan get crushed in the Rose bowl and lose to a D1AA team and Ohio St. get crushed last year in the NC game, I would not personally put any of them in.

Until college football gets a playoff it isn't worth following. This post shows exactly why too.

I agree it seems that the big 10 may be down a little this year....but 3 weeks into the college football season and the big 10 has 3 teams in the top 15......I think it is a stretch to say the big 10 is a joke.........

If OSU, Wis., or Penn St (most likely of the 3) goes undefeated....they will be in the bcs championship.....no way Paterno would be left out of the bcs championship
              My 3 favorite teams:
              1.The Denver Broncos
              2.The Ohio State Buckeyes
              3.Any team who plays Michigan

I dunno, if you watched some of those teams, its a joke to say that they are in the Top 15... Wisconsin struggled big time against Citadel - should not be ranked in the Top 15, Ohio State's D is good but their offense can't move the ball - sadly, Michigan can beat Ohio State, and I've give the Big 10 Penn State, thats the only strong top 15 team for the Big 10..

They only have those teams there on reputation NOT on merit. Media has its darlings, and Big 11 is one of them. I mean they had Michigan #5 at the beginning of the season. Now they want to talk about Penn State and Ohio State, but the funny thing is that Wisconsin is the best team in that conference and they hardly get any mention. Should be renamed the Little 11!

So much for Penn State now.

Then again, only one team might go undefeated this year. Just like last year. Who would go in with one loss? Ha ha. Here we go again......

ESPN’s John Clayton reported that McKenzie is expected to review Jackson’s performance for the next week or so. Clayton reports that the odds favor Jackson staying in Oakland, but a decision has not been made. "I still get the feeling Jackson will end up being retained." 3 1/2 HOURS LATER, THE RAIDERS FIRED JACKSON.....GOOD CALL CLAYTON
