While not surprising to hear the "analysts" pick against Denver this weekend, I was rather surprised to hear the first two predictions go with the Chargers over the Colts.
Weren't the Colts considered one of the two elite teams before this past weekend? Aren't the Chargers a whopping 4-4 and just got killed by a team without a quarterback? Don't the Colts have an amazingly balanced offense and a much improved defense?
The Colts have the #3 overall offense and #5 overall defense. The Chargers have the #21 overall offense and #25 overall defense. LT has not been himself and Rivers is underperforming. The Colts are still the Colts but with a better defense this year.
I know anything can happen ("Any Given Sunday" and all that) but it would seem to me that this game should be an easy pick going with the Colts.
Do you think the "analysts" are still too infatuated with the 2006 team and all of LT's TDs or what? Did they forget that Norv Turner is now their coach?
