Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

So if we can give Rivers credit for playing Mediocre then why cant some people give the Pats credit for going 17-0 so far?
I guess playing decent is more impressive.
And Cutler is better then Rivers. Its not Jay's fault we dont have a great line(offense and defense).

I give the Pats credit for going 17-0 just as I give Rivers credit for being a good QB. I'd imagine most of those who can't give the Pats any credit for being 17-0 are just bitter... like yourself regarding Rivers.

actually he is a Devout Catholic and father of 3 soon to be 4 children, graduating with a masters in science and a 3.8 GPA, he has a fire for the game and and a love for competition, sounds like a loser to me

I cannot expect a divisional rival's fan base giving props to Charger players but calling Rivers average at best?
The kid has lost 1 home game in the regular season as a starter.
He is something like 29-7 as a starter over all.
2 AFC West Division Championships as a 2 year starter and has now guided his team to the AFC Championship.
And let's not forget a 4 game winning streak against the Broncos as a starter.
You do not have to like the kid (I hated Elway until he retired....damn that guy was good when I watch the old NFL Films) but let's not be in denial about his ability as a QB.

Its a perfect analogy for football fans who think theres quarterbacks who "just win". Hes made it to the superbowl, rivers hasnt (yet). Pinning wins on a quarterback is dumb yet people do it all the time. Rivers didnt win all the those games, the chargers won all those games.

Not taking a thing away from Rivers, but did I step into an alternate dimension where SD's offensive identity is based on the passing game? SD's passing game is nothing to write home about. I really don't see how any other argument can be made when your team has the most productive RB in the NFL and the passing game ranks just below average statistically.
I was just watching the Colt-Chargers game, and Quivers was walking off the field into the locker room to get looked at, and as he is walking there he had a smile on his face, and he was talking crap to all the colts fans, i could see him saying, "I'll be back" and when they booed him he said," Thank you, I appreciate that." Is it just me or does this guy have no business whatsoever to act like this? I think I hate him the most out of every NFL player.........

yet they just tore up 2 more than above avg pass defenses ...in the playoffs no less with a LT who is playing like crap
some broncos fans are just unable to give credit to a rival player, it's cool, some of you were like this with LT for a while
