Even though im a Broncos Fan , i have always liked Farve , i live in the south and have followed this guy's career since he played at Southern Miss, i loved it when he led the Golden Eagles in a upset win over Florida State who was ranked number 1 at the time and i love it that he is playing good in the playoffs again, the only time i root against this guy is when he plays Denver, i hope to see a Packers vs Patriots super bowl with Brett pulling the Biggest upset of his career.

Many people of southern area (Louisiana and Mississippi are) have french blood in them. Look at some of the town names. Read some of the early history of the Americas.
Favre is about as french as you can get. When translated it means smith or ironworker.
So some where is his family history a ancestor was an iron worker.sigpic

favre's classy?
the guy who did the throat slash gesture and got fined by the nfl because of it?
sounds a wee bit hypocritical if you ask me......
New York, December 1, 1999 -- The NFL banned the latest fad among its players -- the "throat slashing gesture" -- used to taunt an opponent or to celebrate a big play. The league sent a letter on November 23, 1999 to all 31 teams informing them that the gesture is no longer acceptable. George Young, a league vice-president, said the gesture "appears to depict an unacceptable act of violence" and it has even been nicknamed the "O.J.".
An NFL spokesman said that if a player makes such a gesture on the field, it will be deemed "taunting" or "unsportsmanlike conduct" and subject to a 15-yard penalty. Additionally, the player will be fined $2,500. The NFL's most popular players caught on videotape making the gesture include Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers, Warren Sapp of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Keyshawn Johnson of the New York Jets and Willie Whitehead of New Orleans Saints. In Whitehead's case, he made the throat slashing gesture after sacking St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner in a November 28th game. Field officials did not penalize Whitehead. However the gesture was replayed numerous times on TV, and he was fined from the league, according to the Washington Post.sigpic

the bad faction of your fanbase is pretty transparent
back before LT got his due, it was the same thing from denver fans about how LT is no good , then they finally had to just admit it
PR i admit is giving you guys an easy excuse not to admit the great play he's putting up, but it'll happen as he keeps dominating, and dominating you guys in particular.
the good denver fans give him credit where it's due , his fiery attitude aside, and that's respectable of them.sigpic

i've liked him since way back in the day. back when he was just starting out.
he's always been a professional player, classy, fun and just generally and genuinely enjoys the game of football and has fun while doing it.
the guy has amazing character. the day his dad passes away he shreds a defense by throwing 4 touchdown passes instead of what you'd expect from anyone losing anybody close to them.
he played hardcore for his dad and just continued being himself.
he's stuck by his team and not retired even when people say he should because he feels like they still need some building time and his replacement still needs more teaching.
the "throat-slash" thing? pft. it used to be no big deal and just a gesture they'd make with no hard feelings but to just show that they think their team is better. that's hardly a "classless" thing...just because the No Fun League makes all kinds of stupid rules which leads to:
the snowball throw. also not classless or worthy of a fine or penalty...
he's a 38 year old kid having fun doing what he loves.....and supporting his family doing it.sigpic

I am a huge Brett Favre fan..
He always makes the game exciting to watch, expecially now!
Though he may have made some mistakes in his years.. he is a very classy guy. Down to earth and you can tell he is a real family man.
When it comes down to how well the packers are playing this year, you can't help but cheer for him. I mean did you see the pass he threw this weekend when he was almost falling to the ground and still got the ball to his receiver?
He plays with such passion and heart! I love watching him play!
