Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

`well I read that Eli Manning got the superbowl MVP, but to me: superbowl MVP should have gone to Justin tuck. but then, DL is not an attractive position for MVP

eli deserved it alot more
he came through in the clutch
9 of 14 for 152 yards and 2 tds in the 4th qtr vs an 18-0 team in the superbowl
I'd still have given it to the D-line. Eli came through when he had to. That d-line gave him that chance to come back, the whole game. They stopped NE's run, they gave Brady no time to pass and in general if it wern't for them I think the Pats would have run away with it.
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high."
Ayrton Senna..
Personally, after the game, I thought it should have gone to tuck. The Giants defensive front.... their front seven... WON that game. Of that squad, I would have given it to Tuck since he was the most disruptive early on, and had a GREAT game. A great game with a front seven that stopped the 'machine'... deserves the MVP of the game.
I thought Tuck deserved the MVP... but.... I was glad for Eli considering how much crap he gets.
Tuck had MVP caliber numbers at half time, but let me plead my case for Eli: Third and long, one minute left in the fourth quarter. Eli drops back and the pocket immediately collapses. TWO guys get a hold of him, and he breaks loose. Scrambles backwards, and launches it 30 yards down field for a first down. Pretty stinkin impressive if you ask me. I'm not even talking about the touchdown pass. Eli made it happen when it counted.
You look at how Brady went down the field. Square route to Welker. Square route to Welker. Square route to Welker. Moss wide open for the second time in the end zone. (He actually hit him the second time.) Somebody needs to go back and find out how many of Brady's yards came on screen passes.
I was saying before the game was over that Tuck should get it. He had a great game. Manning did come through when he needed to though, and it seems they always give it to an offensive guy.

Reminds me of the year Rich Gannon was considered one of the greatest and an MVP, when all he did that year was take a 2-3 step drop, throw the ball 5-10 yards, and his RECEIVERS would run for another 50-60 yards. So obviously that means the QB is great...
Eli did what he needed to do, but the D line was the turning point in this game. So IMO THEY should share the MVP honers.

that's as clutch as humanly possible
He wouldn't have had that chance had that Dline not pressured Brady as they did. The score would have been a lot higher had the defense not done the job they did.
whole game>4th quarter.
Not saying Eli didn't do well, but that front 4 was much more deserving. Like normal though, defense never gets the recognition they deserve.
