Best CB Tandem??????

That arguement is not valid since the Raiders corners play man most of the time time. I'd be willing to bet that Aso played man more then 80% of the time. We are not arguing who has had the best career, but your a fool if you believe Champs play has been the best the last 6 years. He may have had the biggest name the last 6 years, but it wasn't to long ago when Jerry Porter, and couple other guy lit him up in 04. When a player has two amazing years consecutively and is young its safe to say you have a great player it don't take 4 years. Same thing goes for Cromartie he had an amazing year, if he follows it up with another he could easily be considered the best.

I never said Champ Bailey sucks, nor anything close. I just said that champ hasnt played like the best corner the last 6 years. I remember he had a horrible 1st year with you guys in 04? I don't know how well he did in 05, 06 great year, 07 above average year.

yeah srry you never did say anything that he sucks.... but name one CB that was better then him in the last 6 years. he didn't have a horrible year in 04, obviously it wasn't close to 06, but it was better then 07 IMO. not bad. in 05 he had 8 ints didn't allow too many passes and had the usual amount of tackles. you have to remmeber he was already maybe the best CB at washingot and he got a whole lot better at denver. its not like hes a one time wonder in 06. i know pro bowls are kind of biase, etc, but making every single pro bowl in his career other then the rookie season is pretty amazing.

I love that people wanna bash bailey and say he gets beat all the time. Someone in this post said Dwayne Bowe burnt bailey last year, my question is When? Its hillarious that in Champs 9 year career hes had 8 Pro Bowls and 4 all pro selections, and all people can bring up are 3 plays. T.O. beat him on a bad hammy, Chad Johnson beat him in 04 but Bailey owned him in 06, and The James Jones play in 07 also on a bad hammy. So lets get a grip about how hes overrated. The dude is as dominant as Deion was with all the contact rules stacked against him. HOFer for damn sure!

Yeah everyone is going to get beat once in a while, Jerry Porter destroyed champ in 04, the GB WR jones(?) beat Bailey deep last year for a TD. It doesn't make me respect champ any less, but he does get beat from time to time. Speaking of the post made by the Chiefs fan about Bowe beating Aso. If I remember correctly Bowe beat Asomugha on a broken play. Your QB avoided the sack, scrambled out of the pocket and found Bowe pretty easily wide open... Aso still managed to catch up to him before he scored. Come to think of it I can't remember every seeing Aso get owned by any WR YET.

Dude he got burnt pretty bad that first year. I think most of them were all on national televised games also which made it bigger. I know the one with Porter was on MNF in the snow game.
