  • McFadden, Struggles

Running back Darren McFadden looked every bit the part of an overmatched rookie Monday. He lost three fumbles, had a pass hit off his hands that resulted in an interception and looked nothing like the player who sparked the first 22 practices.

On Tuesday,McFadden's gaffes weren't anywhere near as egregious or obvious to the casual observer. However,Kiffin still wasn't impressed.

"The last two practices has been his worst practices,Kiffin said."They're still good, but he had been so exceptional and almost perfect that he made some normal mistakes that rookies make over the last two practices. So,it will be good to see him rebound. He's getting tired,he's getting overloaded with a lot of plays, and that's how it should be now."

Kiffin is far from being down on McFadden.A few minutes later,he made a point to call McFadden"the star of the camp.

    Oakland Tribune

Hope McFadden struggles against the broncos Monday Night Football.

He's a rookie and he's going to make mistakes.

I'm sure they are more concerned about how he bounces back.

He has looked absolutely stellar in camp up until the preseason game.

From what im hearing here in Oakland, rookie ( RB) Rankin and Justin Fargas is out playing McFadden.

I've heard he's been stellar, and every bit like a top pick they expected to be.

Everything I'm seeing, in google or hearsay, says he's been exceptional in camp. Even his attitude and his ability to pick up the offense, which there was some concern about, has been exceptional.

If anybody wants, just google Darren McFadden Training camp and you'll find a handful of articles about him.

I didnt see Mcfadden fumble in either game

I thought Mcfadden looked really good. Kinda like Clinton Portis in Denver. I think he will be pretty good in the zone blocking scheme. I would take Mcfadden over anyone that we got.

McFadden said he grew up as a Broncos fan, watching Terrell Davis. When he becomes a free agent, maybe he would be interested in joining the Broncos.
